Her dream was restless. At first, she could feel her mother giving her a hug, it was all too real. She could hear her breathe and she could feel the material of her uniform on her skin. But, Rhen had never been hugged by her mother. She wondered how the scene felt so real. She could even feel the coolness of the dewy grass they both stood on.

"My dear Rhenys. Oh, how I wish I didn't have to hug you through dreams. I miss you so much, honey." Her voice was motherly and it seemed to ease all of Rhen's worries, even if it was for a moment.

"I miss you too mom." Rhen whispered back, burying her face deeper in her mothers neck, smelling the scent of forest on her skin. "You wouldn't believe the mess I have gotten myself into…I don't want to open my eyes again. I am scared."

"I know more about you than you think. This pain shall pass soon, don't worry. We don't have much time now. Listen to the song of the pearls, my dearest, and they will take you to the rock."

"What? Mom, wait! No!"
