The date is 11/27/2010, I have been all over the country visiting different colleges, and I have been to schools such as Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Georgia, Texas, Ohio state, and Penn state.
I have verbally committed to Alabama only for my mom, I did like the energy at the game but there was something off, nothing bad it was just I didn't fit in. Penn state was a very close second I have never felt that kind of energy at a football game.
Most schools have started to focus on other players now that I have verbally committed to Alabama, I did this for this exact reason I wanted to know who really wants or rather who needs me.
The schools that are still keeping in touch with me are Bama, Penn state, Clemson, and Georgia.
I was personally really wanting to go to Georgia, but instead of taking me to a game or showing off their facilities, they took me to parties and started throwing money my way.
Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the parties but that's not what I'm looking for in college.
With that being said I thought I was done with visits but a week ago Oklahoma sent me an official visit, something that gave them points was that Coach Brent Venables was the one who personally came to my game and invited me to their next game.
Although I have never met the man I have heard of him, his defensive schemes are one of the best in college right now.
After he introduced himself to my mom he handed me a letter that basically states we want you.
After he left we went home and I started to watch film on Oklahoma's defense, I have to say I am intrigued, his defense is heavily centered around Oklahoma's linebackers, the only problem I am noticing is that his middle linebacker is not capable of keeping up with the scheme.
"Alright Oklahoma lets see what you got."
...
Day before the game.
[OU Insider.]
(A podcast based around Oklahoma football news.)
"With that being said I think OU will win this game, for the next 15 minutes I will answer any questions y'all have." I say waiting for commenters to start asking questions.
SoonerMama-{Do you think Oklahoma has a chance to flip Alabama commit Jacob Major?}
I was hoping someone would ask that.
"Ok, I have thought long and hard about the chance of him flipping, and I have to say there is a chance, I have been following his high school career for awhile now, he is the quiet but deadly type, he can make game-changing plays like it's nothing, I personally think he may be one of the best Defensive players in the past century, he's about 6'3, 250 lbs he holds the new national record for sacks per game and he still has room to grow. His play style will fit in with Coach Venables's style of defense. Yes he is Already committed to Alabama, but through the grapevine I have heard he doesn't like the school it's self just the fans. Same thing with his visit to Penn State. With that being said if Oklahoma can convince him to flip it will lay in the hands of the fans. So show up and be loud Oklahoma's future depends on it."
...
"Alright here we are someone will be out shortly." the driver says as he drops us off at the Sooner's official Hotel.
I grab my moms bags and throw them over my shoulder and I have my bags in my right hand. I was about to start walking inside when I see two men walking toward us.
They both step in front of us and start to introduce themselves.
"Bob Stoops." Coach Stoops says introducing himself to my mom first.
"Sarah." my mom says smiling at him.
Believe it or not he is one of the first coaches to introduce himself to my mom like this. Most of the time they only talk with me.
He looks at me and I nod my head.
"Coach."
"How was your flight?" Coach Venables asks my mom.
"Comfortable, thank you for asking."
"Ok so the plan is, we will have someone show you around campus while we show your son around the facility's. Does that work with you?" Coach Stoops asks.
"That would be wonderful, I would much rather see the school than a weight room." my mom says while chuckling.
"Set your bags down there and someone will bring your bags to your room." Coach Venables says while walking me to a black car.
"See you later mom." I say.
"Alrighthave fun, love you." mom says getting into a car that Coach Stoops opened the door himself.
"Alright first we will show you around the facility, then we will get you in uniform for pictures, then we will bring you back here, then in a couple of hours you and your mom will join the team in the walk of champions. Does that sound good?" Coach V asks.
"Sounds great. But what is the walk of Champions?" I ask curious.
He turns around and starts to smile.
"You'll see."
(Ok I won't be able to do the 370 million dollar facility justice, so I will have y'all just watch a video on YouTube giving y'all a tour.)
Look up[$370,000,000 Football Facility Your!] Hangtime is the channel name. I will post the thumbnail in the comments so you can see it if your having troubles finding the video.)
...
After the tour.
"I gotta admit, this is probably one of the best facilities I have ever seen. I'm ready to see how I look in crimson and cream." I say looking at the gear in front of me.
"Alright, you can get changed in there." Coach V says.

"How do you feel?" Coach V asks.
"I feel like a Sooner," I respond.
"Alright, we should head back to the hotel so you can join us in the walk of champions. Your mom should be back." He says hiding his smile at my response.
'Alright Oklahoma we've done our job now it's your turn.
...
(Alright I will do my best to explain this but if you would like to have a visual representation look up[experience game day with me. (Oklahoma football.) Hangtime is the channel again, go to time (16:37.) and you will be at the start of the walk of champions.)
"What do you thinks it's like?" my mom asks sitting right next to me on the bus that's bringing the team to the stadium.
"I don't know, when I asked around people said that it will be crazy, especially today because it is one of their biggest rivalries with Oklahoma state." I respond.
As my mom was about to say something someone walked by and started talking.
"Alright no headphones everyone knows the drill, No headphone during the walk of champions." as he says this the bus starts to stop and everyone starts to get off. When the doors opened I could barley here anything it was like an eruption of cheers started.
"Ready?" I asked my mom as we started to step out of the bus.
She just nods in awe at the sound.
We step out of the bus and I see thousands of people lining the street to the stadium cheering for their team.
I lean down so my mom can hear me and say.
"I could get use to this." I say and she just nods.
Along the way multiple people asked for my picture and of course I took a picture with them.
Once we made it to the locker room Coach V started talking to us.
"Whatcha think?" he asks with a smirk on his face.
"I could get used to that I'll be honest." I respond.
"I hope you do." he says handing us both passes.
"You can head to the field now the game will start in about a hour. everything you need or want is on us." he says walking back to his players to get ready for the game.
"I like him." mom says.
"Yea he has a very good vibe." I respond opening the door for my mom.
...
Halftime.
"It's so hard to hear anything!" my mom says.
"Yea." I was about to walk to the bathroom when I started to hear a chant all over the stadium.
"WE WANT MAJOR!"
"WE WANT MAJOR!"
"WE WANT MAJOR!"
The chants continue as a man with a camera walks in front of me, my mom taps my shoulder and points to the giant screen on the opposite side of the field, on the screen is me standing here stupidly, so I just decided to hold up a 1 with my hand.
The we want major Chants continue even when I went to the bathroom.
To be continued.
