Sixty

Lennox smiled as he got the door for Sophia who rolled her eyes at him.

"Careful" he added, once she stepped out of the car and Sophia groaned, her lips forming a pretty pout.

"Gosh, people would think I got slashed on my leg and not my wrist" she complained and Lennox pulled her closer.

"I'm going to spoil and pamper you whether you like it or not. If it were up to me, trust me you won't be walking anywhere" he said and Sophia smiled even tho she was trying to frown at him.

"What are you going to do, carry me everywhere," she asked, her eyes dancing with amusement.

"Yes!" He answered promptly and she laughed, the sight and sound of it a balm to his heart that hadn't stopped racing in panic from the time he'd rushed in to see her bleeding out to death.

"Hey!" She called, touching his cheek and he gazed at her, watching her smile. "Stop thinking about the bad stuff. I'm here, with you and I'm not going anywhere".

"You swear it," he asked, smiling and relaxing.
