Wrong Move

Skyler's POV

"You have to open your eyes now, Sky," the doctor said after he removed the covering of my eyes, and I felt scared to flutter them, for I was so afraid that nothing changed.

I deliberately opened my eyes, and I had to close them again, for I couldn't handle the brightness.

"Have you seen anything?" My doctor asked, and I slowly nodded my head.

"Yeah, but my eyes hurt," I answered.

"That is good news; try opening them again, Sky; you will get used to it, just open your eyes again, and you will be okay." He assured me, and I followed his instructions.

At first, I could only make out some lights, and as I blinked my eyes several times, the surroundings suddenly became clear, and I couldn't believe I was able to see again. I could see the face of the doctor who had been there when I was growing up since he was one of my father's good friends.
