No Fucking Way...

I just stared at Aurona.

It was all I could do.

Did I hear her right?

Was she saying the words that my brain had just processed?

I couldn't believe it.

There was no fucking way.

"I'm sorry, uh, did I just hear you right?" I asked her while I put a finger in my ear, acting like something was in it, blocking her voice. "Because I'm pretty sure I just heard you wrong..."

"Old Man Soma's Ramen Shop." Aurona said suddenly.

My eyes widened, and my jaw dropped.

...Then...

A flashback went off in my brain, and it wasn't a great one, but one I remember well:

***"Come on, Ayitto, I don't wanna go with you. I could give two shits about meeting your new friend," I said, rolling my eyes. Ayitto whined. "Bro, they want to meet you, so you're coming, no excuses!" He huffed, grinning. In the end, he convinced me...and when I got there...he was with another guy and two girls laughing and having a great time...when I walked up, the girls looked at me and scuffed. "Um, dude, I don't know if you are blind, but can't you tell we don't know you?" Ayitto said with a pitied smile and a gleam in his eyes...that day...I stopped making friends and hanging out with anyone ever again...***

"How do you...how the FUCK do you know that, Aurona?!" I shouted, panicking.

Aurona sighed and looked back to the lake.

"Because this world, what do you keep calling it, an...Otome? In reality, it isn't. It is a separate dimension where those in other worlds get chosen to live in this world. And every birth in this world is a normal birth of this world, but there are those like you who get chosen to live here. And they can decide to stay or go back home." Aurona explains.

I was silent, too stunned and in disbelief to say anything.

After some time, Aurona looked back at me through a sideways glance.

"I'll ask again, Prince Darien Of the Withergate Empire, and I expect an answer. Do you want to stay here, in the world you are just beginning to know? Or do you wish to go home, back to your actual world?" She asks in a serious tone.

...

**Of course! Of course, I...wait, hold on...** I thought.

My life here so far has been pretty great, I may have JUST gotten my memories back, but I seem to know how things work when it comes to being a prince.

Heck, I even have someone like Samuel as a best friend who seems like they'd never betray me; I never had that before.

I looked at Aurona for a bit.

**I even have a fiancé; I never had an actual girlfriend. And she seems to be just my type!**

Aurona smirked.

"You know I've been able to hear your thoughts this entire time, right dumbass?" She chuckled.

I coughed and turned to look in the other direction.

"Yeah, what of it? Also, I hope you're aware I'm not going to take this whole 'fiancé' thing head-on. Imma take it slow."

She smiled and nodded.

"So you're going to stay in this world?" She asked.

I nodded and sighed.

"Only one problem..." I started.

"What's that?"

"I don't know shit about magic, and this place like you think I do..." I mutter.

"Luckily, you have someone like me who's here to help ya and is better at fighting than that stick-swinging shit-head, Leon." A voice interrupted behind us.

When we looked, it was Samuel, who was wearing an eat-shitting grin.

"Not only that, bro? But I'm in the same boat as you. My old name was Mitch, and I was from the United States. And I came to this world six months before you did. Also, I may not look like it, but I'm a sucker for history as much as I am fighting people. You also got Aurona to help: the chick with an infinity of all and any magic." Samuel says, pointing at his chest and then to Aurona.

"Ture," she said with a shrug.

I looked back and forth between them, then smiled like an idiot after a bit.

"Then what's first?" I asked.
