The Most Powerful Beings Of The Withergate Empire

**I am so fucked...** I thought to myself as sweat beat down my neck.

My father stood in my doorway, with his crimson arrow-tipped tail swaying back and forth behind him, slowly, and had his blood-red hair swept back and out of his cold hard, ruby-red eyes.

Father had his built arms crossed over his giant scared chest with his royal apparel on and his large pitch black ram horns spiraling on each side of his head with his smaller bull horns pointing sharply on his forehead. Both sets gleamed in the light as if they were freshly polished. His gigantic dragon-like demonic wings folded on his back.

Don't get me wrong; my father is part of how I got my looks...but...right now...he looked PISSED.

"So you said I taught you properly. Is that right, boy?" My father said with a sneer.

I jolted.

"Yes, father!" I yelped.

Father strolled up to the wall I just put a large crack in, and looked over his shoulder at me, then back to the wall.

"Then why is it still standing? Are you saying you're still weak after the shit I put you through and everything I taught you?" Father asked.

I shuddered as I remembered being almost beaten to death by my father when I didn't produce the result he needed.

"I a-am not, f-f-ather." I stuttered.

Father scuffed.

"You don't sound confident about it, boy." He warned.

I froze for a second; then, a light bulb went off in my head.

**I know what he wants. It's the only way to fix this situation, crap I hope father will let it slide this time!** I yelled in my mind.

I nodded to my father, then walked up to my cracked wall and placed my right hand on it, closing my eyes.

I concentrated for a bit and opened my eyes abruptly, turning them from their usual slight glow to a blazing shine. The holy light on the ends of my horns and tips of my feathers gleamed while a black demonic mist formed around my body simultaneously.

While this happened, I forced the cracks in the wall to reverse, and then, after two seconds, the wall was whole and looked as if nothing had happened to it.

"Good," Father said. "Now finish what you started."

I inhaled deeply and nodded.

I release the energy around me, making the black demonic mist, holy light, and blazing eyes return to normal.

After that, I take my hand off the wall and look over at father.

"This is what you taught me, father; I should have done it properly. Please forgive me." I state.

I form that same hand I used to make those cracks in the wall into a fist and punch the wall.

As soon as my fist collided with it, the whole face of the wall, what was on the wall, what was in front of the wall, my bedroom door, and half of the hallway's belongings and walls, was blown away from the force that came from my punch.

I exhale and stand straight, feeling my father's hand on my shoulder.

"Son, never hold back your rage nor your fists. Have you got that? I do NOT want to see you hold back again. Is that clear, Darien?" He says, patting my shoulder.

"Understood, Father."

"Good..." Father said, looking down the hall and letting a slight smirk play on his lips. "I think that's a record of the most damage anyone has caused this hall before at your age."

"And let's keep it that way, okay, huns~~~?" A sweet but unhappy voice said on the left of the wall opening.

**Mother.** I thought. **Came at a good time too.**

Mother came into vision with a hand on her hip and looking at her nails on the other hand.

Her white wings with black-tipped feathers fluttered due to the wind coming through the hallway. She had her long platinum-white hair tied in a high bun with her spiked halo hovered over her head gleaming brightly. Her light green demonic-shaped eyes were even twinkling.

...

And leave it to my mother to wear in a, well, 'revealing' long dress to come to this dinner with the other kingdoms' rulers.

"Ah, Dear, I did not know you were there," Father said.

Mother giggled and winked at father.

"Aww, and here I thought you were serious when you said that you were watching my eeeeeevvveeeerrryyy move once I fell from the Heavenly Realm and married you~," Mother teased.

Father snorted and walked out of my room through the opening and down to the North Wing's Dining Hall.

As he left, mother kept giggling at him.

**They're always like this,** I thought to myself. **Father will scare the shit out of someone, even if that someone is me, then my mother will join in afterward and tease not only the father but-**

"Darien~~. Didn't I tell you you should smile more?? I taught you how to be a killer with that smile, sweetie. Use it to your advantage~~~!" Mother said while pinching my cheek and trailing a finger on one of my horns.

**-but she also likes to tease the shit out of the person my father was terrifying...**

"Mother...can you stop, please? We need to get to the North Wing before Father destroys it for us being late." I say as I pull my head away from my mother's grasp.

"Oh, don't be such a party pooper, Darien~~! When was the last time your father did something like that?" Mother huffed and gave me her infamous puppy eyes.

I sighed.

"When you were late for breakfast this morning? Do you NOT remember that he threw a table that sits seventy people through one of the walls, and it went through the walls of the three rooms behind it?" I asked, unamused.

Mother thought for a bit and chuckled.

"You win this round, kiddo. Let's go before I get bored and start causing mischief for the fuck of it." Mother says and starts walking while humming down the hall.

"Ivan, honey! Please fix this before Darien gets back from dinner tonight!" Mother called from the end of the hall before disappearing.

"Yes, Your Majesty! Good luck tonight Young Prince." Ivan said before gathering up the rubble with some other servants.

"Yeah...thanks..." I mutter.

**This is going to be one long and annoying dinner tonight...** I thought as I followed after my mother.
