Flowers bloom in blind eyes.

The two walked at a slow pace, Hermes always liked to talk so he wasn't in any kind of hurry to get there quickly.

Ina was a good listener.

Hermes always gave her a good feeling of familiarity, she felt that her relationship with him was very close to a brotherhood.

Whether in her life as a human or as a goddess, she has always been very lonely.

Which only got better when she started getting visits from Hermes and of course Hela.

Hermes was very close to a brother for her.

Hermes talked about all sorts of things, but mostly he loved talking about others.

The gods always had scandals and gossip to talk about among themselves, they were beings who really couldn't have a discreet life.

Hela and Ina were one of the big exceptions and most likely that was because of their past, they preferred to keep their lives completely private.

But Ina was particularly happy, isn't that what they say? Happiness deserves to be shared.

She smiled briefly and took advantage of the small moment of silence from Hermes to start the topic so desired by her. "Hela and I decided to try to have kids..."

Hermes heard that with some surprise.

He didn't really expect them to try to have children. "Serious?"

Ina nodded and squeezed Hermes' arm as if she were hugging him.

She felt radiant.

She even she had again confirmed Hela's intentions about having children when they woke up that morning.

She was very afraid that Hela was only doing this to satisfy her desires, but she seemed very determined and serious about it.

They really wanted to have children and build that family.

"Yes… We will soon begin preparations."

Hermes watched Ina's face full of serenity and smiled with satisfaction. "I never get tired of thinking that you were made for each other..."

Ina laughed, she also believed she was made especially for Hela and vice versa. "I believe in that too..."

Hermes sighed briefly, the day was sunny and beautiful.

But he couldn't help but wonder about something. "Well, you know that this child will be a mortal, right?"

Ina and Hermes kept walking.

Ina didn't show any kind of reaction after Hermes' question and took a few seconds to answer.

"Yes… We know."

Of course they knew.

Which made everything even more complicated.

Hela was already blindly looking for a way to immortalize Ina and if they had a child... How would it be?!

Ina brushed back the hair that fell over her face and remained silent for most of the path that followed.

She had a lot to think about.

Maybe she would live 50 years, hopefully 60... 70... her son would follow the same path as Ina.

Would Hela be ready to see her family falling apart as fast as it was built?!

Ina wonders if one day, when facing one of her descendants, she would treat him with kindness for being her son and the fruit of that union.

Or would you simply love him out of benevolence to humanity?!

Humans at one point continued their steps moving further and further away from their creators and protectors.

The gods watched the humans and it seemed impossible to get too involved with the ephemeral nature of human life.

There were always tragic stories about gods succumbing to madness by seeing their loved one trapped in mortality and becoming just a few traces of memories and dust.

With luck Hela and Ina would have a different fate.

Hermes knew that Ina wanted to be a mother and all he could do was hope that they would succeed.

He always wondered if Ina, the woman who dared to threaten the gods' immortality, could have a happy ending.

Seeing her miserably chained up was a pitiful thing and always made him melancholy.

Hela had a very difficult mission ahead of her and her time was short.

It only seemed fair to allow Ina to be informed about everything going on around her.

"Today Freya came to talk to me about Hela..."

Ina even slowed down her steps when she heard Freya's name.

It made her think about what Loki had said about the prophecy.

"What she said?"

"She told me to be on the lookout for any advances from Hades… She believes he will try to get close and use any opportunity to get her to cooperate with him."

"Do you think she would be capable of that?"

Hermes stopped briefly to look directly into Ina's reddened eyes.

He could see her eyes filled with doubt, felt her heart filled with frustration.

"What do you think will happen if you die? Do you think she will live quietly as if nothing is happening?"

Ina sighed.

She believed Hela would be very upset, but she couldn't say what Hela would be able to do.

"I don't know..."

Hermes started walking again, making Ina follow.

Standing in the middle of the street wouldn't solve that problem.

"Maybe that's what makes everyone nervous, nobody knows what she's capable of doing..."

He had many doubts in his heart, but mostly expectations.

Good expectations about what those two could live.

From there the two walked walking silently.

But it didn't take long for them to finally spot the beautiful, newly renovated facade of the building that would be Ina's flower shop.

Hermes smiled in satisfaction.

Yep, he lacked any kind of modesty when it came to taste.

Hermes stopped in his tracks and Ina followed him. "We're here… This is it."

He happily pointed towards the building and Ina even activated her third eye, she wanted to be able to see the building and all its nuances.

Yes, Hermes not only had good taste, he had delusions of grandeur.

Which was not uncommon among the gods.

When Ina saw the building, she could only think that if she wanted to, she could make a small residential building and still have space left.

Hermes was really someone over the top.

"This place is huge… Are you sure about this?"

Hermes stared at Ina a little confused, had he overdone it?!

He looked at the building again and didn't seem to understand very well what Ina was complaining about.

"Here is enough space for you to sell your flowers and grow them... I renovated this place thinking it would be small."

Ina watched Hermes's smile full of relief and could only feel funny.

That building had two floors beyond the ground floor, she could even make a garden out of all the concrete.

Hermes clapped his hands excitedly, it wouldn't be a problem to have too much space, but not enough.

Hermes grabbed Ina's arm and pulled her into the building.

The smell of paint was still fresh, Hermes was forced to hire people for the renovation to avoid neighborhood suspicion.

The building was very close to the university area and also very close to the house where they were living.

It seemed like the perfect place for Ina to live quietly.

Ina walked a few steps ahead and carefully observed every detail of that place.

Anyone taking a shallow look at the life Hela and Ina were building would think they were both from wealthy families.

Hermes had not only secured a beautiful house, but also a beautiful building in an extremely commercially competitive area.

She would enjoy it all.

She turned to face Hermes and opened her arms for a hug.

Hermes was not prepared for that and without much reaction he just felt Ina enfold him in her arms.

"Thank you for everything you are doing for me and Hela..."

Hermes heard the whispered voice in his ear and it was all so unexpected that it took a lot of effort not to cry.

Heavens, there was nothing the gods liked more than drama and strong emotions.

Gently touching Ina's back he thanked her for the hug. "You know that's not much for me..."

Ina smiled and finally released Hermes. "I know..."

Houses, wealth or anything else, didn't have much meaning for the vast majority of gods.

Their worlds and needs did not feature this.

It was all based on an abstract relationship of exchanges and demonstrations of power in the human world.

Ina faced the empty place and Hermes had already left almost everything ready, just missing the flowers.

"How many employees do you think I should hire?"

Hermes stopped briefly to think about the matter.

Ina really wouldn't be able to run that place on her own if she didn't want to draw attention to herself.

Humans were smart after all and could easily get bad ideas about everything.

If misunderstandings could be avoided, they would.

Some points should be taken into consideration: the size of the place, the needs of people specialized in gardening or botany and clearly security.

Ina passed herself off as a blind woman, she should have trusted people around her.

"Maybe two or three, you need people who know how to deal with plants… Also, it would be a bit confusing for you to run a business all by yourself."

Ina glanced at Hermes briefly, she could well understand what he was referring to. "My eyes?"

"Yes."

Ina walked close to the counter and most likely where the store cashier would be.

She sighed briefly.

She didn't need her eyes, she had enough insight to understand everything around her, but in fact it was safer to act accordingly.

Ina never really saw with her own eyes and everything she understood of the world was due to the use of her third eye.

"I see... I heard that humans use some objects to help blind people, do you think it's worth having some."

Hermes nodded, he believed that Ina should use any mechanism possible to camouflage herself among humans. "There are many ways, but I think the best way is to have a guide dog."

Ina took a deep breath and smiled softly.

There really were a lot of things to think about her adaptation among humans. "I'll talk to Hela about it."

Hermes nodded and walked to the back of the room.

To think that place was almost collapsing a few weeks ago and it was really rewarding to see that it wasn't long before it could start working.

"Well... Let's go to the garden, the soil is almost ready to receive the flowers."

Ina followed Hermes and let herself be carried away by the sunlight covering and warming her.

When she finally left, she realized that Hermes was completely insane.

It was impossible for her not to be startled by the huge greenhouse outside.

Ina couldn't hold back the fit of laughter.

Hermes frowned in confusion. "What are you laughing about?"

Ina didn't know whether to laugh, breathe or try to speak.

So funny.

The building was huge and there was even a study.

Hermes' intention was especially to ensure that Ina could have everything she needed in one place and space if needed, right?!

"You really weren't kidding when you said I could grow the flowers… Did you make a greenhouse?"

He, although confused, couldn't control his laughter either, Ina laughed so energetically.

"Of course it wasn't, isn't it necessary? How do you intend to do it in the winter?"

Ina bent down to laugh, she was laughing so hard her legs were weak.

Hermes was really what you would expect from a god: unexpected.

Ina wanted to be able to work with flowers, she has always been completely surrounded by plants and wanted to keep it that way.

But that didn't mean that she would cultivate them, many people should dedicate their lives to cultivating and one more was not needed.

Now that she had all that structure, she should take advantage of it and make the most of it.

After a long session of uncontrolled laughter Ina let out a long breath, she was still trying to compose herself.

Her stomach even hurt from laughing so hard.

Finally feeling that she had enough air to speak, she hugged Hermes' arm and spoke excitedly. "You are very funny Hermes... Come on, let's make an announcement to hire some employees... We have a lot of work to do!"

"Yes!"
