Jacob spoke calmly as his body seemed to phase out of existence, the darkness wrapping him.
In an instant he reappeared beside the girl, his elbow crashing into her neck.
''Ack''
The girl was sent tumbling onto the stage, her legs twitching slightly as she was picked up by her master for healing.
''Hahaha as expected of a Second-Class Disciple! His combat power isn't comparable to Third-Class Disciples.''
Norman watched the battle with satisfaction. Jacobs' progress had greatly satisfied him.
Of course it wasn't that the girl was weak. Her method of attacking was difficult to resist. If Jacob didn't have the Moonlight healing skill then he would've been affected by the Poison!
''Oh? Interesting!''
Suddenly Norman was attracted to another battle in the corner.
Creed was facing a Fifth Realm Qi Refiner matching his Realm. However while his opponent kept firing icy shards towards him his face showed a calm look.
His eyes just flashed as he dodged the shards casually. Slowly pulling the sword out of the sheath on his waist.
Suddenly out of nowhere a black light lit up around it. The air surged as the rocks below him crumbled.
''Turmoil blade!''
Norman looked with shock. The blade swung down as a black light pierced through the sky tearing up the ground as it moved.
''I didn't expect Mary to teach him this.''
As the blade was about to smack into the opponent opposite him, a Deacon appeared in front of the blade and gently waved their hand.
''Winner declared, Creed.''
Creed smiled slightly before hopping off the stage. Leaving his opponent slightly pale.
''Haha even though it's only a Middle-Black Grade Martial Skill, these opponents without Martial Skills definitely can't resist. Not to mention it was taught by a Foundation Deacon in the end.''
Norman glanced at it unsurprised. And he wasn't the only one who took interest in this.
In the air Deacon Luise appeared next to Mary.
''I didn't expect your disciple to be so talented. Being able to learn the Turmoil Blade to such an extent after only a month means he really isn't simple.''
Deacon Mary had a very proud look in her eyes. In fact she was extremely proud of all of her disciples.
She had been around the Sect all the time, becoming Norman's advisor. Because of this she often gets first pick of the Third-Class Disciples that are summoned so a lot of her disciples are the better ones in the batch.
Unfortunately the other Deacons also caught on, and began accepting more disciples. But this is the advantage of Status.
Mary did a good job at managing some things in the Sect so Norman often commands her to instruct the new disciples.
A similar thing happens with Deacon Franklin. Because he is one of the most important managers in the Mortal world and stronger Deacons he gets to select a lot of talented disciples.
After all he is one of the first to see their real life combat power in the Mortal World!
''Alright! All of you have done really well.''
''There are 35 of you remaining! You will draw numbers and one of you will get a free pass in this round. The matches will restart in two hours.''
Norman's voice stirred the crowds as they began to sit down and recover their aura.
However the top disciples also looked at eachother from the corner of their eyes.
''I didn't expect the other disciples to be so strong! I thought with Masters support we could easily step into the top 10. It seems like it might be harder than I thought.''
George, Mary's other disciple, sat next to Creed and spoke cautiously. He was only in the Fifth Realm of Qi Refining it was by luck he managed to get through to this position!
''Forget it, recover quickly. If you can do well maybe the Sect Master will give you access to more resources in the future.''
Creed spoke curtly as he continued to recover.
On the other side of the arenas Morgan sat next to Katy with a careless look. He had been eliminated previously when he unfortunately came against Clover in a battle.
However Katy had easily made it through, stroking the little bunny she slowly recovered her Spiritual Aura.
''Hmm it seems like I won't be able to win this year. I have seen Jacob fight and his strength is too high. Even with the combined attacks of me and my pets it might be difficult to break him.''
''But that moon… he defends the moon with his life. It is highly likely he hasn't properly refined the defensive nature of the moon. If I can destroy it he would struggle to condense it for a little bit.''
Katy showed a sly smile. She wasn't worried about the repercussions. After all the moon was only a projection, it took a lot of energy to condense but wouldn't have too large of an effect if it was destroyed.
''But Senior Sister, are you sure? You practise a Low-Earth Grade technique! And there's three of you at once!''
Morgan was slightly confused. Although the moon in the air looked frightening, he hadn't seen it actually act.
Even if Jacob can constantly heal he would eventually be worn down right?
However Lily clearly knew better than that. Jacob had taken Deacon Kieran as his master, and Katy had seen herself the shocking sight of five of Kierans disciples losing against Jacob.
The moon had released a pitch black light completely preventing them from seeing! Jacob could freely reappear wherever he wanted and easily eliminated the other five disciples!
''Don't underestimate him. Remember he is the one most likely to reach the Golden Core Realm first after the Sect Leader, even the Deacons can't compare.''
In fact what Katy was saying is true. After all, the Deacons can still practise but they are all Third-Class Talents!
It would take years for them to reach each small realm. And the best age to break into the Golden Core Realm is below 100 years old. Otherwise the chances continuously decrease as you get older.
But Jacob is likely to reach the Foundation Realm before he is 15! Reaching the Foundation realm well before the acceptable age of 60.
''With enough resources our practice speed won't be much lower, as long as we continue to earn contribution points we can still buy Cultivation Time! Who says we can't compare.''
Just then one of the boys in Katy's squad came over with a dissatisfied look. However there was nothing they could do about it now.
''Alright! Everyone comes to the front to draw your numbers.''
