Chapter 29

Immediately after a spear appeared in the puppets hand as it stabbed out killing the General instantly!

The battle raged on as Norman joined in knocking back the puppet. However he was never able to damage it or even win any altercations!

The killed soldiers and generals reformed and rushed back from the fortress.

And slowly the shockwaves from the battle spread across the sect. The disciples all rushed over with curiosity.

When they saw thousands of golden figures fighting against the single middle-aged man they were shocked.

''Is that the Sect Leader? Why is he fighting against that man! And why is that man so strong?''

''Incredible is this the aura that Foundation Cultivators have?''

''Why aren't the Deacons so strong?''

One Disciple watched the battle and muttered, causing Deacon Mary's face on the side to twitch slightly.

Of course she isn't as strong as the Sect Leader! She is only a Third-Class Talent after all.

But just as she was going to respond, an ethereal voice spread along the group of disciples in the stands.

''That isn't a person. It is a puppet. I suspect that the Sect Leader has placed them here to be a source of practise for you.''

All the disciples uniformly looked into the sky, only to see a stunning figure in a flowing robe descending.

However this just served to make them feel more nervous. Who is this woman!?

''Relax, I am the new Guardian Elder of the Sect Mable.''

''Greetings to the Guardian Elder!''

Instantly the rest of the disciples bowed down greeting Mable. They all had some memories from the System including the positions of the Sect. Of course they knew the value of a Guardian Elder!

''Watch the battle, there might be some unexpected gains.''

However the battle soon came to an end. Norman stepped back while panting, his breath short as the Spiritual Energy in his body had been completely emptied.

But there was a warm smile on his face. He had learnt his weaknesses in this battle.

''I don't have enough Martial Skills, not even a Heaven Grade Skill, it isn't enough to just rely on my Eternal Physique.''

''Forget it when I have time enter the Library when there is time and select a few good skills.''

Norman stood up and waved his hand. Instantly his dishevelled outfit returned to pristine conditions.

''Greetings to the Sect Leader.''

As he floated up he saw the many disciples appearing around him.

''From now on these puppets will be here for you to practise with. There will be 1 hour allotments and Deacon Jude will be in charge of managing the bookings for each puppet.''

A scrawny man with a long beard came out of the crowd and bowed. He was on the other Deacons Norman had signed in.

''For the next month, those disciples that last the longest against the Puppet will receive a special award. The top 5 will receive a rare prize from me personally so compete well.''

Norman casually spoke before vanishing. Of course the reward he was talking about was the Inheritance Opportunities.

Originally he wanted to save them for better disciples in the future. But then he realised that it was a dumb idea!

A Sect can't grow on the backs of one or two talents. They need an entire working machine, including Elders, Deacons and plenty of disciples to guard the sect.

Currently the Immortal Sanctuary Sect only has 14 Deacons available and the Guardian Elder.

This is far from enough if another Sect attempts to attack. And right now only Jacob is close to reaching the Foundation Realm!

''But one thing I noticed is that Jacobs strength doesn't seem to match up with those Second-Class Talents in the old sect.''

''It seems relying on resources is a much quicker way to improve, but it can leave to an unstable and slightly inferior foundation.''

Norman frowned. This is the reason he decided to give out the Inheritance opportunities. According to the System it can improve talent, give cultivation techniques and even innate talents!

There is no doubt that these 5 Inheritance opportunities can create 5 future powerhouses, who knows in the future there might be 5 Ancestors from these lower talents.

Ancestors are very important to a Sect. They are one of the main determining factors for the strength of a sect when the Pandor Realm was at its peak.

You can only be called an Ancestor of a Force when you reach the Saint Realm! Anyone with an Ancestor level figure can become a Third-Grade Sect with ease!

Two or three can help you rise to the level of a Second-Grade Sect!

However you need a Great Ancestor, or a Creator Realm Cultivator to become a First-Grade Sect.

But below that most Sects follow the same realm divisions for the positions in the sect.

Disciples are anyone under 60 years old, regardless of their cultivation.

After they turn 60, if they are in the Foundation Realm they become a Deacon, the Golden Core Realm can become an Outer Elder and the Cave Building Realm can become an Inner Elder.

The Crossing Realm is already strong enough to be the Supreme Elder of the Sect with status equal to the Sect Master. Of course after that are the realms of sect ancestors.

''Maybe making 5 Ancestors is quite delusional. But with the resources of the Sect at least 5 Supreme Elders can appear in the future! At the Crossing Realm you can easily leave hundreds of thousands of years with each break through, the safety of the sect is guaranteed.''

Norman smiled. Even at the Sects there weren't too many Supreme Elders. And most of them were old recluses that never came out.

''For now though, my own strength is the most important. I have 3 Years of cultivation left over. It should be enough to refill the gap in my foundation left behind by using Spiritual Liquid to improve.''

Soon Norman returned to the underground cave beside the Spiritual Core.

''System use the Three Years of Cultivation!''

While Norman's cultivation was rapidly increasing, at the edge of the Broken Valley a meeting was ongoing.

''Leopold, are you sure you want to do this? Although we are willing to help you fight the Immortal Sanctuary Sect, the cost is that you become an Elder in the Sect. Your Evil Sanctuary Sect will cease to exist.''
