MODERATE LEVEL

BLOOD.

Pain that hurts like hell.

The impending feeling of doom.

[I'm going to die.]

Stacy couldn't believe that Grayson, the Werewolf that made her feel so good earlier, was now mauling her to death while growling angrily.

[And it hurts!]

The damned bastard started mauling her face, and she couldn't even open her eyes because she was afraid he'd gouge out her orbs. And she also didn't scream because she thought Grayson would rip her mouth apart if she did.

[He's so angry…]

Before she closed her eyes earlier, she saw the murderous look on Grayson's face.

"How dare you deceive me?!" Grayson yelled, his voice full of anger and bitterness. "How dare you steal the thing I promised to give Valerie?!"

Ah, so he was angry about giving his virginity to the wrong woman.

[Well, understandable– argh!]

Her thoughts were interrupted when, all of a sudden, she felt the worst pain that she had experienced in both her past and new life.

[My heart…]

Grayson ripped Stacy's heart out of her chest mercilessly.

[What a gruesome death it is!]

***

Huh?

Stacy blinked her eyes several times to make sure that she wasn't dreaming. She even pinched her cheek. "Ouch," she complained. "If it hurts this much, then this must be real."

She got up, ignoring the Window in front of her, and looked around.

[Where is this?]

She found herself sitting on a sofa in the middle of a floating garden. Yes, the garden was afloat since everywhere she looked, all she saw were clouds.

Moreover, she was wearing strange clothes.

[It's nice, but why am I so… covered?]

Plus, she realized that she was wearing a dress that she would often see in webtoons where the setting was inspired by the Victorian era, or earlier.

Now she was really confused.

"Is this heaven?" Stacy wondered out loud. "But I'm a sinful woman, so I should be sent to hell and not here."

It was the Window, but why did she feel like she was getting yelled at?

"I thought I died," she said to the Window. "Grayson murdered the hell out of me."

To be honest, she trembled a bit after she remembered how the Werewolf killed her in the most horrible way possible.

She clutched her chest tight at the painful memory.

[It was a scary death, but I deserve it.]

Again, Stacy didn't have any attachment towards her life. Moreover, after all the horrible things that she had done in her life (both now and then), she had long accepted that she would die a gruesome death.

[It's called karma, and I'm ready for it.]

That sounded bothersome.

When she first started getting missions, she just had to smile or touch the heroes lightly to seduce them.

[I guess that's why it's called 'easy mode.']

"But what happened earlier?" she asked curiously. "I died, didn't I?"

"Oh? They still got together?" she asked, then she clapped her hands. "Good for them."

"I know, right? That's why I'm wondering why I'm still alive."

She crossed a leg over the other while combing her fingers through her hair. "What will happen if I fail again this time?" she asked. "Will I die a horrible death again before restarting?"

"Huh?"

She chuckled. "Like what?"

Okay, that made her lose her smile as she got the chills.

[Having your nightmare on a loop is indeed worse than death.]

Now, for the first time since she got inside that weird game, she got scared.

[I thought the worst thing that could happen to me was dying. But I didn't expect that kind of punishment.]

She hated it.

[Then I guess it's time to get serious.]

"Tell me what I need to do," Stacy said in a serious tone. "I won't fail again."

"I need more details, System."

Stacy's eyes widened in shock when her body suddenly turned transparent. "Wait!"

***

"YOU!"

Stacy was shocked when an old woman suddenly grabbed her chin and inspected her face as if her life depended on it.

[What the hell is happening?]

She was in a sketchy alley, her clothes dirty and a little old-fashioned.

[Wait, isn't this similar to an "apron dress?" The type of clothes that commoners in romance fantasy webcomics would wear!]

Then in this world, she was a mere commoner?!

[The System wasn't kidding when it said the easy mode is over.]

Stacy just hoped that her beautiful face and sinful body didn't change.

[I need a mirror.]

Anyway, the old woman in front of her wasn't wearing fancy clothes, but she looked quite dignified.

"Yes, you'll do," the old woman said while nodding her head. "Your hair and eye color look very similar to the late madam."

Stacy knitted her eyebrows. "The 'late madam?'"
