Nancy’s POV
The Sunday night crowd at Biggy’s Tavern is giving us a standing ovation for our performance of “Chicago”. Their clapping and whistling are deafening to my ears, causing a pounding in my temple. Or that could be a potential headache coming on.
This was a last-minute show that Michael picked up; he usually doesn’t like us performing so soon after another show without some good practice beforehand. Our last show was around a week ago. He picked “Chicago” because it’s one we all know by heart and doesn’t need heavy practice.
This place is more extensive than what we’re used to performing at. They have a full-size stage against one wall leading into actual dressing rooms for us, so we didn’t have to get ready before arriving here.
The gray tiled floors gleam with how clean they are. And the navy-blue walls have beautiful abstract art sparsely spread around them. I can smell the food from the kitchen mixing in with the vanilla-scented candles at each table.
