Birth of a New Devine Spirit

Inside Kate's Knowledge Sea, chaos reigned. "Crap! What should I do now?!" Kate muttered, pacing anxiously. "I only wanted the two Sources to cultivate separately, but when I used the Ancestral Divine Spirit Script in unison with the Yin-Yang Unification Art, the Sources unified for real! They've merged into a single Source!" Her voice carried a mix of panic and disbelief.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "Since that's the case, I'd better refine this new Source now… But what is it? A combination of Dragon and Phoenix?" Kate wondered aloud, her eyes narrowing in determination.

Meanwhile, outside, Yang Kai noticed startling changes in Kate's body. One moment, faint dragon scales shimmered on her skin, radiating strength and majesty; the next, vibrant phoenix flames flickered across her, exuding grace and purity. The alternating features left him astonished.

"What kind of transformation is this?" Yang Kai murmured, unable to look away as he continued to guard her.

Inside Kate's Knowledge Sea, an unexpected transformation unfolded. The merged Source condensed and morphed into a massive, radiant egg. "WHAT THE HELL?" Kate exclaimed, her voice echoing in the surreal expanse. She cautiously approached the egg, its surface shimmering with an otherworldly glow. But the moment her hand touched it, a powerful force pulled her soul into the egg.

Meanwhile, in the physical world, Kate's body convulsed violently, coughing up blood. Yang Kai's eyes widened as he saw the shimmering golden blood. "Her blood has already turned golden?" he muttered, a mix of shock and awe in his voice.

Suddenly, all four of Kate's energies Honkai Energy, Mana, Dark True Innate Qi, and Blue Saint Qi swirled around her body in a chaotic storm. They merged into a luminous cocoon, transforming into an enormous egg that radiated a dangerous aura. Yang Kai instinctively stepped back.

"What's happening now?" he asked himself, his gaze fixed on the egg. "It looks like this is the result of her hypothesis."

He extended his Divine Sense to probe the egg, only for it to be absorbed instantly. "What the—!" Yang Kai exclaimed, his brows furrowing in frustration.

Realizing there was little he could do, Yang Kai sighed. "I have no choice but to leave her for now. The Emperor Garden is about to open, and I can't delay any longer."

As he exited Kate's abode, he turned to the servants stationed nearby. "Take care of my wife. She's currently cultivating inside," he commanded, his tone firm.

"Yes, Sect Master," the servants replied in unison, bowing as he departed.

Meanwhile, inside Kate's Knowledge Sea, within the massive egg, a surreal sight unfolded. Kate found herself surrounded by an endless sea of stars, their soft glow creating an ethereal atmosphere. "Is this the inside of the egg?" Kate muttered, looking around in awe and confusion.

As she tried to make sense of her surroundings, a massive, furnace-like artifact descended from the starry expanse above. Its intricate designs pulsed with energy, exuding an ancient and mysterious aura. "What is this?" Kate asked aloud, her voice echoing in the vast space. No answer came.

Suddenly, the furnace released a radiant burst of light, and from within, a huge shimmering lake materialized. At its center stood a towering tree, its branches glowing faintly, as if holding the secrets of the universe. The lake and tree floated towards Kate, their presence overwhelming and enigmatic.

"What is this... and what is going on?" Kate thought, her heart racing. Before she could comprehend the phenomenon, two ancient books and two glowing orbs emerged from the tree's branches and drifted towards her.

As Kate reached out and grabbed the ancient books and orbs, the mysterious furnace-like artifact suddenly began to ascend. With a faint hum, it flew away and vanished into the starry expanse above, leaving no trace of its existence. "I wonder what that was?" Kate thought, her eyes lingering on where it had disappeared.

Clutching the items tightly, she watched as the endless sea of stars began to fade, dissolving into nothingness. The surroundings grew quieter, almost unsettlingly so. Before she could fully process the changes, the white and black orbs in her hands emitted a soft glow and shot forward, merging into her forehead.

Kate's vision blurred as an intense wave of energy surged through her, filling her with both power and uncertainty.

"Huh? What just happened?" Kate thought, her mind racing as she tried to make sense of the overwhelming sensations coursing through her. Suddenly, a Mysterious Being materialized in front of her, its presence both imposing and enigmatic.

"You can even enter my Knowledge Sea?" Kate asked, narrowing her eyes at the intruder.

"I'm not planning on staying long," the being replied, its tone calm yet laced with curiosity. "But this little stunt of yours caught my attention."

"What do you mean?" Kate asked, folding her arms defensively.

"You've managed to create an entirely new Divine Spirit Race," the Mysterious Being said, its voice echoing with amazement.

"Me?" Kate blinked, taken aback.

"Yes. The Dragon's bloodline ability governs Time, and the Phoenix wields the power of Void. But you..." The being leaned closer, its gaze intense. "Your bloodline ability is Creation and Destruction. Remarkable."

"What? Why isn't it Time or Void?" Kate asked, confused.

"Don't tell me you're disappointed?" The being smirked.

"Well..." Kate hesitated before sighing. "I just know it'll demand more Qi to use."

"Ah, a fair point," the Mysterious Being admitted with a nod. "Power that potent always comes at a cost. But you've achieved something extraordinary. Congratulations."

The being straightened, its form beginning to shimmer and fade. "I've got my own matters to attend to, so I'll leave you to explore the depths of your newfound abilities. Farewell, Kate."

And with that, the Mysterious Being disappeared, leaving Kate alone once more in the strange realm of her Knowledge Sea.

"Creation and Destruction," Kate murmured, her thoughts racing. "I wonder why those two became my bloodline abilities. Is it because the Dragon represents Yang and the Phoenix Yin? Yin and Yang... Destruction and Creation?"

Her musings were interrupted as she felt the massive egg she was encased in begin to descend, diving deep into the ocean of her energies within her Knowledge Sea. The swirling energies violet for Honkai Energy, cyan for Mana, ash-black for Dark True Innate Qi, and blue for Saint Qi—roiled violently as the egg drew closer.

"What's going on?" Kate thought, her unease growing. A strange, foreboding sensation coursed through her as she realized the egg was actively draining all four energies, pulling them into itself like a vortex.

Something was changing, something beyond her control.

"Huh? What is going on?" Kate thought to herself, her brows furrowing in confusion. "I feel like my energies are... mixing?"

Her gaze locked onto the massive egg as its aura began to shift. The once distinct glow of blue Saint Qi was now gradually being replaced by a deep, vibrant violet.

"What the... my Blue Saint Qi is turning violet?" Kate murmured, her voice tinged with disbelief as she watched the swirling fluctuations of the egg's aura. Each pulse seemed to ripple through her entire Knowledge Sea, an ominous yet mesmerizing transformation unfolding before her eyes.

"Eh? Why do I feel so sleepy all of a sudden?" Kate thought to herself, her eyelids growing heavy despite her confusion. "I thought I could just jump to another universe while my body cultivates here, but..."

Her thoughts trailed off as exhaustion overtook her. Slowly, she drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep, the energies within her Knowledge Sea continuing their mysterious transformation.

After a month, Kate slowly opened her eyes and found herself still inside the egg. "How long have I been asleep?" she wondered, her gaze wandering around the confined space. "Why do I feel so... different?" she thought, sensing an unfamiliar power coursing through her.

Meanwhile, outside Kate's Knowledge Sea, Yang Kai was visiting her abode. "This girl is still not done? How much longer is this going to take?" he muttered to himself, staring intently at the golden egg. "What if she's even more stronger than me once she finishes her retreat?" he speculated, an uneasy feeling creeping over him.

Suddenly, Yang Kai felt a shift in the air. The egg began to emit a faint glow, and cracks started forming on its surface.

"Is she done?" Yang Kai exclaimed, stepping back cautiously as the egg pulsed with energy, the cracks widening with each passing second.

The huge egg began to shatter, pieces of its shell falling away until Kate's body was revealed, now lying motionless on the ground.

"Kate!" Yang Kai exclaimed as he quickly knelt beside her, carefully examining her condition.

Kate's eyelids fluttered, and she slowly opened her eyes. Yang Kai's breath caught when he noticed the drastic change in her gaze. Her pupils and irises spun simultaneously in a mesmerizing pattern before settling into a new form.

"What kind of eye cultivation technique is this?" Yang Kai thought, bewildered. Her eyes, once a simple brown, had completely transformed. The left glowed a striking red, while the right shone an icy blue.

"Heterochromia?" Yang Kai muttered under his breath. "Why did her eyes change so drastically?"

Kate blinked a few times, her expression dazed as she murmured softly, "Yang Kai?"

Yang Kai gently picked Kate up and carried her to her bed. "You should rest first. We'll talk later," he said softly.

"How long was I asleep?" Kate asked, her voice still weak but steady.

"About a month and a week," Yang Kai replied as he carefully adjusted the covers over her.

"I see," Kate murmured, her gaze fixed on the ceiling.

"Looks like you gained some huge benefits this time," Yang Kai teased, a smirk playing on his lips.

Kate let out a small chuckle. "Indeed, it seems I really accomplished something new this time."

"You want some Qi Restoration Pills?" Yang Kai offered, pulling out a bottle filled with pills.

"Yeah," Kate replied gratefully. Yang Kai handed her the bottle, and she immediately swallowed three pills.

"I know we share similar cultivation roots, so you should be able to handle multiple pills, but are you sure you can take it?" Yang Kai asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Of course," Kate said with confidence, a faint smile on her face. "When it comes to physical abilities, I think I might even be stronger than you now."

Yang Kai grinned, his competitive spirit igniting. "I'll surpass you in no time."

"Yeah, I guess so," Kate said with a faint smile.

"Why do you say that?" Yang Kai asked, curious.

"It looks like I'll hit a bottleneck soon because my bloodline has become impure," Kate replied, turning her gaze away.

"What do you mean by that? Did you... become a monster because of the egg?" Yang Kai asked, concern evident in his voice.

"No, it's not that," Kate answered, her tone calm yet somber. "It seems I've become a Divine Spirit."

"A Divine Spirit? Like a Dragon or a Phoenix?" Yang Kai inquired, leaning closer.

"Yes," Kate explained, turning her back to him. "My Dragon and Phoenix sources merged into one, transforming me into an entirely new type of Divine Spirit. But..."

"Then you're a new existence? Is that what you're saying?" Yang Kai asked, piecing the puzzle together.

"Not exactly," Kate clarified. "I've become the basis for something new. I'm a combination of the two, but my descendants will be the true new existence. They'll inherit my traits, like my golden blood, and will be pure Pharygons."

"Pharygons?" Yang Kai repeated, letting the word sink in.

"Yes, a name I'll give to this new line," Kate said softly. "However, there's a possibility I won't be able to bear children due to my unique existence. If that's the case, the lineage will end with me, and there will be no true pure Pharygon."

Kate's voice grew quieter as she added, "For now, I'm just the foundation of a potential legacy."

Yang Kai remained silent for a moment, his expression unreadable. "That's... a heavy realization. But knowing you, you'll find a way, Kate."

hile lost in thought, Kate suddenly remembered something. "Right, I told Su Yan and the others a story... that I returned from the future and was the tenth wife of Yang Kai," Kate thought to herself, letting out a heavy sigh.

"What's wrong?" Yang Kai asked, noticing her troubled expression.

Kate hesitated, her mind racing. "Sooner or later, Yang Kai will start to suspect something or investigate. Worse, one of his wives might tell him what I said. I need to plant a seed of doubt or curiosity in his mind—just enough to keep him wondering until the time is right."

"It's nothing," Kate replied with a faint smile, her tone wistful. "It's just... I've always wanted a child. All my sisters have at least one, but me... being the youngest and..." She trailed off, leaving her sentence unfinished.

Yang Kai looked at her curiously but didn't press further.

"That should be mysterious enough," Kate thought. "If he remembers this moment, once he learns the truth or hears the story from his wives, he'll piece it all together and bring it up with them."

"Why did I tell such a lie in the first place?" Kate thought to herself, frustration evident on her face. "Curse you, younger me."

"Can you leave me alone for a moment?" Kate asked, her tone laced with weariness.

"Alright," Yang Kai replied, pausing as if to share one last thought. "But let me tell you something first."

"What is it?" Kate asked.

"I'm planning to return to the Tong Xuan Realm in the future. What do you think?" Yang Kai said casually.

Kate blinked, processing his words. "I see... that sounds interesting," she replied, though her mind was elsewhere. "The Flowery Orb I gave to those two I'll need to retrieve it as soon as possible."

"Okay, I'll come with you," Kate said suddenly, making Yang Kai pause in surprise.

"Really? That's great!" Yang Kai exclaimed, smiling. "I'll keep you updated when there's progress."

"Alright, then. I'll let you rest for now. Bye," Yang Kai said as he stood up and left, closing the door behind him.

Kate stared at the ceiling, her thoughts swirling. "Tong Xuan Realm... returning there will stir up more than a few memories."

After a few days, Kate woke up, stretching slightly as she glanced around. "How long have I been asleep this time?" she thought to herself, slowly standing up.

"Right, I better change into something more fitting a battle dress, perhaps. A dragon theme doesn't sound bad," she mused.

Closing her eyes and focusing, Kate murmured, "I do have the transformation element. I just need to concentrate and..."

Her school uniform for magicians began to shift, threads of energy swirling around her. Slowly, it transformed into a striking violet battle dress adorned with intricate golden ornaments.

"Hmm, this is good violet, white, and gold. I like this," Kate said with a satisfied smile.

As she admired her new look, a thought crossed her mind. "Based on Dr. Mei's usage, she needed significant processing time for such transformations. But for me, just imagining the outcome is enough. I wonder what makes the difference?"

Her gaze turned to her hands, a frown forming as she sensed the immense energy depletion. "Even so, wow... the Qi required to use these elements is astonishingly high. That simple transformation consumed half of my Qi," she thought, flexing her fingers.

To her surprise, when she summoned her Qi, its color had changed. She stared at the glow in disbelief.

"What? Is this a result of my transformation?" Kate muttered to herself, deep in thought.

"My Qi's color," Kate murmured, watching as she formed a glowing circle out of her Saint Qi. "The center is gold, fading to ash, then violet. Why are there so many changes?" she asked aloud, her brows furrowing.

"For now, I need to focus. Let's think about what to do next." Kate paused, considering her mission. "The task given to me is to make Yang Kai stronger. If I help him reach the High-Rank Open Heaven Realm directly, that should be enough. But... what if the course of the story changes because of the butterfly effect?"

As she mulled over her thoughts, a movement caught her eye. Turning, she noticed her reflection faintly in a polished surface.

"Whoa! My hair it's even longer now?" she exclaimed, running her fingers through it. "It reaches down to my knees? Hmm... the ends are violet. If I remember correctly, my hair was pure silvery white before. But now... from my head, it transitions from white to ash, then to violet."

Her tone turned somber. "What if my body crashes because of all these changes?" she muttered, moving toward the door.

However, as she tried to step outside, she was stopped.

"Madam, please wait!" a voice called out.

Kate turned to see a young woman bowing politely. "Who are you?" Kate asked.

"My name is Dong Qing Yan. The Sect Master has assigned me to be Madam's personal servant," the young woman replied with a smile.

"A First-Order Origin Returning Realm cultivator?" Kate thought to herself, her gaze briefly appraising the servant's aura.

"What is it?" Kate asked aloud.

"Your hair, Madam it's too long. It might get dirty if you go out like this. Let me fix it for you," Dong Qing Yan offered.

"I see." Kate nodded. "Okay then, go ahead," she added, stepping back to allow the servant to attend to her.

"Do you have any ornaments for my hair " Kate asked as Dong Qing Yan carefully brushed through her long locks.

"Would you like something that matches your attire, Madam?" Dong Qing Yan inquired.

"Yes, please. Can you match it with my dress?" Kate replied.

"I can. We have a Phoenix ornament would that suit your taste, Madam?" Dong Qing Yan suggested.

"That's perfect, actually. By the way, what did you say your name was?" Kate asked as Dong Qing Yan began working deftly on her hair.

"This servant's name is Dong Qing Yan," Dong Qing Yan answered with a polite tone.

"Is it alright if I call you Yan'er?" Kate asked warmly.

"Madam may call me whatever she wishes," Yan'er replied with a slight bow of her head.

"Then Yan'er it is," Kate said with a faint smile, letting the servant continue her work.

As silence settled for a moment, Kate asked, "Where is Yang Kai?"

Yan'er's hands momentarily froze, a subtle flicker of surprise crossing her face. She quickly composed herself, but Kate caught the reaction.

"Did I say something odd? I only asked for his location—or is it because I called him by his name?" Kate thought to herself.

"Sect Master left quite early today, Madam," Yan'er finally replied. "Great Elder Ye might know where he went."

"I see," Kate said calmly before standing. "I'll be heading out as well. If he returns, tell him I'll be at the Starship."

"Yes, Madam," Yan'er said with a respectful nod as Kate made her way to the door.
