Realm Wars 5 - Daedalus Strength

Boom.

The Devil flashed past the point of destruction. The ground where it had just escaped spotting a large rift in its brown soil. Egere scowled as he held his katana up, steady, eager to strike. To sink into flesh and reap god blood.

He jumped and as expected the God met him in combat. His swordplay wasn't bad but it was nothing compared to the winged divine. His sword clashed and parried.

Wind blasted him and for a second the god vanished. Egere wheeled around in panic only to have a palm grab his shoulder.

"Be calm, be calm. I won't abandon you. " the devil froze right as the left fist of the feathered-winged sky lord descended with his godly retribution.

The ground shattered, a trench forming the devil's body marking his path all the way to the other end of the battlefield. Zeukites ignored the warring beings focused on slaughtering the demons. Yet Daedalus noted that even the Zeukites weren't unharmed. Pieces of armor lay here and there, destroyed Zeukites filling the field. The demons severe twice or thrice their number and it was showing.

For every ten demons felled one Zeukite got dropped. The demons knowing that they were unmatched swarmed the living armors with their numbers in hunger.

More and more of the Zeukites fell and which each fall Daedalus noticed something that terrified him.

A bolt of black lighting flashed from the corner of the wrecked land. Zipped through the air and flashed unto a crowd of Zeukites and thoroughly decimating them.

Shards fell free from their empty armors. Shards that were quickly grasped by the demons and as Daedalus watched stunned were gauged down.

Right before his eyes, Daedalus saw the power ripple through their skins. Being corrupted and refined into demon miasma. It was largely harder to purify so the excess escaped released into the atmosphere.

Daedalus was so engrossed he had forgotten his battle. The yell brought his attention back. A fast dip helped avoid the danger to his face earning it to his cheek. Gold blood rolled down the feathers.

Daedalus made a spin kick to throw the Devil off its feet. A stamp of his foot spread black ice from the point of contact and then shot out of the ground. The first spike blocked Daedalus's kick. Then a blast of cold steam shot out from Egere and blasted him back.

The devil glared with fury his arms burning with silver fire. Daedalus picked himself off the ground his wing batting a demon aside.

"You gods hide in your golden towers feeling mighty. You skitter about in your childish wars made amongst yourself because you realize you will never actually die. " Egere glared as he walked in a circle.

Daedalus noted a new contender for his head. The Silver Hound had placed itself so the God was in-between both canine and devil.

"And you would know us how?" Daedalus asked moving in such a way he kept both hound and devil insight though he looked to be unbothered by the hound.

"Who has not heard of the great gods of the three realms? Well, two to be exact. The third is just a place for insects that should serve us as fated"Egere snarled as he rushed forward.

The patter of paws on the ground alerted him to the hound's attack as well. The God made a squat his wings spread as he took a waiting stance.

But instead of Egere, what came was frost and red fire. Parallel to each other the energy blasted the surprised God back into the waiting maws of the Hound.

The Argonne almost forgot he was in a game as pain made him mad. His wing gripped savagely and his body tossed left and right till he released skyward.

His mind was barely able to focus when the katana pierced his lungs and a boot stomped his face with ice coating the heel.

The katana flicked out of his abdomen even as the God of might bit back a scream from both wounds and plummeted like a comet to the ground.

BOOM.

The little crater snuggled his body in, his wings crooked in a bad shape but not broken. Just hurting. Blood streamed from his face and the wounds to his body and wings.

The sound of something hitting the ground had him jerking to glare at the Devil.

"Weak. Just like I said" Egere spat as he sauntered for the downed Argonne. "You should have stayed in your golden tower". The ice covered him like armor while red fire danced over his katana and then silver flames jutted out his back as Liquid silver in the shape of wings.

The Argonne laughed. His lower body hurt from the wounds. 'How the fuck does she walk off with such injuries.' he thought.

The God rose with difficulty, his kegs weren't tired but it strained his abdominals likewise his wound to move. He stretched his wings and patted his face wiping off the gold blood.

" I told you Devil. Nice speech. But you gave it to the wrong God."Egere scoffed as he watched the being stretch himself out.

"I have a streak Devil. Dying will come but only when I chose it. This won't be the moment." he shook his head before gripping the handle of his mithril blade.

It'd taken ages to earn this. He exhaled and looked up to the Devil activating his Wind flight and floating off the ground. His eyes burned brighter.

"You have crossed blades with Daedalus of the Aegis Pantheon. This god applauds your strength, but sadly it was not enough. Now Devil, come so you may meet our maker if she is one and the same being. When you do meet her, say, Daedalus the Argonne, god of might, Skyfather of the Aegis and first fan of the Creator has loyally disposed of the trash".his smile while soft was nothing but condescending to the Devil who gritted his teeth.

" Now kindly die".

Egere's eyes blazed with its purple glare igniting like a flame as he stomped the ground and exploded forward with a roar of rage. The air around him cracked and a sonic boom shattered the earth.

Daedalus exhaled. He was a God of might, it was his divinity to expert will over what he wanted. To be what he desired. To exert his power or influence. His strength or will.

Right now he commanded it. He wanted it to obey. All of it. The winds, his body his wings. All of it. He pushed at them to listen even as his blood boiled.

Then he flapped his wings and shot forward. There was no boom. No speed. Daedalus didn't care, his gaze affixed on the Devil. His mind exerting itself to bring him to his knees.

Egere appeared his katana raised. The blade reflected the sol as it descended. The Argonne was still in movement body-wise. His side-eye gazed up at the Devil descending and he thought.

'Why have the winds I control.' His eyes burned even more brightly.

Egere stumbled as the air around him suddenly vanished pulled away so brazenly that it caused a twist and spin in his attack. He stabilized only to find the Argonne with his left hand stretched out.

"[Sky father's call - Rend]" the Devil took a step back as a hail of wind blades from nowhere appeared striking him fiercely and harshly. The devil dodged and cut through those he could while laughing heartily.

"Is this the best the esteemed sky father could dish?" he cut through another wind slash jumping away before the released wind could throw him back. His eyes found the Argonne who simply smiled.

No words were said as the God darted forward. His speed was doubled and his reaction time was quicker. Egere responded by taking to the sky with his liquid silver wings.

Both clashed mid-air with yet another shock wave. This time neither separated. Swords flashed as they struck at each other. Every strike and swing from their blades sent a force past the enemy and sliced a gash into the ground.

Both moved at speeds that were essentially a blur to the eye as their blades mirrored their movements. Egere wreathed his katana in Devil's fire even as his ice armor turned denser.

Daedalus's strikes increased in a frenzy, his strength multiplying and then tripling. The mithril blade sang as it left after images. The devil's katana was unable to bear it as the first chip showed.

But it wasn't just it. Even the ice armor was unable to withstand the god's onslaught. The long sword carved a sharp line in the devil's exposed cheek from the jaw to his forehead.

Then smashed into the ice armor layering his chest piece. Another strike to the same point left a crack and then another and another. The return for each strike was vicious, the ice cracking and cracking even as Egere desperately attempted to keep up to defend.

The blur of attacks halted instantly and Egere collapsed back strained while Daedalus took a step back. His sword raised, its tip pointing to the right, his eyes locked on the panting devil.

"I told you. You spoke to the wrong God." His eye gleamed as his wings flapped taking him straight up. Wind flight kept him afloat as he halter just far enough but close enough to dish the execution.

Egere panicked. His mind raced through his template as he searched for something. Anything to save his strength. Yes, his strength not his life. His death here would simply send him back to Taursa at the cost of almost sixty percent of his power.

He either sacrificed a portion or...

His eyes gleamed with madness as he spotted a skill. No an ability or was it a perk? It had been there when he was born. But he'd never noticed or seen it in such a light as he was seeing it now.

[Void End] - [Star link]

[As the progeny of an outer being you gained the star link, A once in a blue moon energy that can be used for one devastating attack. This energy is rechargeable and also useful against beings in all tiers that possess a •¶•∆• energy]

The words were less meaningful than the knowledge of what he could do with them. And so he activated it.

Daedalus was already prepped, the gales of wind whipping around his sword as he compressed it. Just as he looked to the Devil a shiver went down his spine.

It wasn't the creepy smile that stretched out on the being's annoyingly handsome yet devilish face. No, it was the look in his eyes, the dropped in the temperature of the air. A foreboding. An instinctual tingle that preceded instant death.

Daedalus instantly buffed the skill.

[SKYFATHER'S CALL] - [ACTIVE]

[Lv10 - 253/550] - [BASIC]

[The wind is neither obedient nor disobedient. Like a true master, exert your might, exert your force over it. Not to just desire it, but command it. All wind is ones to exert divinity on]

[Cost - None][Cooldown - None]

His sword was massively swallowed by a gale. One that could blow even him away if not for the command he established over it. There was no time for talks or control he swung the blade, the wing turning with a mighty roar like the storm of the ocean.

The wind compressed as it descended. A slash so large there would be nothing left of the Devil once it hit. Egere wide-eyed scrambled to get away mow unsure. Daedalus watched with a frown as the wind descended.

Even as it neared, the foreboding only thickened even more. Until finally the wind clashed, and the ground shook making the Zeukites and Demons stop and look.

The dust rising did little to hide the bright light of energy that was Egere.

Daedalus felt the wrongness in it. His eyes locked on the being that had survived his extermination. The purple irises locked with his in a fiendish stare enough to answer why he had no death notification. Yet as Daedalus watched the devil devolved into a calm state a calculating smile that terrified the Argonne creeping unto its face.

Daedalus didn't know what was about to happen. But his sense of danger, instincts, not a skill rang alarm bells.

The God descended. The Devil smiled with glee.

"I understand. " he nodded with an alarming sense of alacrity. "I finally understand". His smile widened as he devolved into a crazed laugh right as he roared.

"CHAOS WILL BRING ORDER" Daedalus's heart skipped. This was the usual intro line a mad villain sputtered before doing something really stupid. The wind pushed him faster.

'Why am I suddenly slow?' But he wasn't. Everything had happened so fast. The God finally descended right as the devil swung his claws. Claws that Daedalus sensed bore the same light. The light made him wreary. A light that was neither golden nor white. Just a disturbing blue that made the God do something he hadn't expected.

Daedalus dodged. The claws hissed, a chill beyond Mariet's frost passing over the feathers on his head and the God felt the realm tremble.
