SUBTLE WINDS - What was to cone

[FULL ARMOR SET - THE MALWIS OF DARKNESS]

Forged from the melted remains of The Will's gift to Creator 79, other broken gears, upgraded with the dark alloy ore, Thosut, and heated in the divine fires of the Unborn. The Malwis carry the Will of the Unborn to protect.

[PERKS] - [Obsfucation] - [Eye of the Dark] - [Aswimgnir's Executor] - [Dark Embrace]

[Obsfucation]

The helmet blocks all scrying or identification attempts on its wearer.

[Eye of the Dark]

Just like the storm keeps all away from its eye so too shall the armor deflect ALL forms of antagonistic attacks from its wearer. (For some effects chances of success are determined by the Will stat or Mind stat of the wearer against the aggressor's stats). (Physical attacks will depend on strength to Endurance stat)

[Aswimgnir's Executor]

Like the deadly elf who once lived as King of an eroded world so too will the Malwis shield absorb great damage to be dished back to an aggressor.

[Dark Embrace]

In the presence of shadows or lack of light, the Malwis' armor moves unhindered. This gives near teleportation effects in the right lighting or lack of.

The armor was already equipped long before I checked the complete description of the beauty. I stood in different poses my face completely sealed off by the helm though my blue eyes glowed in the shadow of the helmet.

The shield was neither heavy nor light. Just the right size and the grasp in my hands was perfect. In all, I looked pretty imposing.

"It seems the heavens are giving me a sign to get off my ass." I chuckled.

There were many things to be done and many... "No". I shook my head. That was the language I used to beat myself into complacency. There was one thing to be done first.

I activated the plane walker, and unlike before when the flames burned me to nothing, this time was different. The effects were as instant as it was slow. It made my perspective both slow and fast jarring my perception. The world tilted on itself flames leaping from nothing to form seven rings rolling around me in all directions. I watched bewildered much at the colorful light display than the absence of heat. Then the fires halted their spin collapsing around me and taking the plane with it.

I found myself floating in the nothing right outside the three realms. Torheim with its ever radiant glow, Feyryire with its tranquil shimmer and finally Taursa looking as ominous and terrifying as ever.

My attention wasn't on the beauty of my universe. It was in the possible applications of my plane walker trait in battle. Something I suspected the others would get sooner or later. Having it as a strong weapon in my arsenal would greatly aid in combat, especially for the upcoming tournament.

But I was thinking too far. For now, was the current issue. After creating the Rebirth system for the fallen gods. I had made several creations that would be implemented both beyond the mortal realm and within it too. The more I went over several things I could make the more I realized the truth about this game.

The first worlds were trash. At best it was a textbook example used for educating students in a new setting. Vaustaris as beautiful as it was, was just that. A tutorial world.

Fortunately, I could add systems to the mortal realm, choose which worlds would be affected or not, and also bind world systems together.

Earlier I had realized that Vaustaris was using a basic system. One that let its inhabitants see their physical capabilities portrayed as numbers, use mana and earn experience to grow stronger but that was it.

There was no finesse to any of it.

But that all changed now. The funny part was that while it was something that I actually thought was good to do the system had already made it certain I did something or risk losing my realm to the new void beings.

But that was something that the mortals would have to deal with now. In the end, a crisis had come just not the carefully arranged and planned one with no assured setbacks. A win was a win.

It made me grit my teeth but at the same time, I would not lie by saying that Cole hadn't gotten to me. With a situation that I could not control, there was less chance of halting a development that while dangerous would be fundamental to the growth of my mortals.

In all, it led to this moment. In my hand, I held the chaos stone, something similar to the Void wolf's fur. Above me, flapping was the streamer raven.

" Expand"

My voice with the Speaker title was something that always sounded majestic and cool to my ears. I watched as the chaos stone shattered into its true form. A black sea of controlled chaos unlike the entity I sent running into the mortal tapestry spread out in all directions like a dust cloud.

Before me, I watched as mists wafted out of Culdre. My new limb was like a porous steel arm letting out steam. I watched the chaos and aether race for the edges of my universe.

[MORTAL REALM] - [VAUSTARIS]

[SOUTH CONTINENT]

[FEW DAYS TO COME]

Trut saw it as an act of fate that he had managed to get away from the wolves. The literal pack of hounds, Vaustaris wolves that were as untiring as his people were savage had chased him deep into the woods of the Undule. A forest that was far beyond his people's territory.

Trut could only run faster as the barks and yips of the predators caught up to him. Not trespassing would mean nothing if he was dead and digesting in canine bowels.

"Oomph" The breath was knocked out of him as a grey wolf hit from the side. Its fang was quick to bury into his neck, his claws scratching down its fur coat even as it reciprocated by digging its claws into his torso.

Trut panicked as he felt his neck locked in the musty grip of the animal's mouth. His little legs licked with terror, dark spots filling his vision as he slowly lost his breath.

Barks and howls came from the forest around them catching the wolf's attention. While it looked curious it was not ready to leave its already assured meal. It simply deepened its bite to end things quickly.

A howl pierced the air as the barks and growls of his kin got louder. Before the world could make sense of it a white wolf was flung out and into it. Both beasts were smashed into the ground and Trut was released albeit with deep puncture wounds to his neck.

Grey wolf stood first looking at his kin who was struggling to stand then back to the attacker. Its unintelligent eyes widened as it watched another of its kin on six instead of four limbs swallow down another kin with an atrociously large maw.

Yet it was the liquid-like black flesh that made Grey step back. The thing was squirming and shifting as it took in the wolf into the six-legged one's body. Grey watched as the thing earned an inch or two in height.

Grey was a predator, an instinct-driven creature one who knew when something was not prey. The wolf turned to flee just as a howl sounded from behind the thing. A call to fight. Their hunt leader must have survived. He watched from his side eye as his Kin with white fur rushed forward to answer the call. Heard the growls and snarls as well as the slurps and wierd noises of flesh being sucked.

Grey halted just far enough to have a good view of the end. Cowardice wasn't something the wolf was worried about. He knew already that death was assured. Why he knew, he wasn't aware.

Grey watched the wolves get devoured and the thing grow larger. Then he watched it move to his prey. Grey turned choosing that moment to flee. Whatever that was, the Alpha had to know. This was why he had singled himself out because making the kill was as not as important as warning the pack.

Trut lay there unmoving as the entity stood over him. Yet if Grey had watched it would have seen a different scene. Instead of the thing devouring the blood goblin it melted down into a black pool that covered the goblin in a black egg.

It stayed that way for several days as the egg surface wobbled, shifted, and cracked only to mend back. Red and purple veins flowed over the egg at intervals while a pulse-like heartbeat came from within.

There was no witness to count the days. Just the heartbeats and the egg. Until something changed. It wasn't the egg that brought the change but rather the change affected the egg. An undetectable ripple in reality that sent an external pulse through the egg.

Like a wake-up call, the egg cracked down the center, the crystalline shell falling on different sides. Black mist floated away from within as the being was unveiled. A soft rumble sounded out as the winged creature the size of a small wagon tire shook its scaly tail in the air. Its head bobbed at intervals as its eyes opened to take its first peak of the world.

Trut was gone. In his place lay something else, something more.
