Pernicious and Frost

Divine mana was something I couldn't figure out for the moment, how exactly did God's use divine mana or gift them to their angels? I knew all I had to do was create a template for something like that but I wasn't eager for that. Something told me my plan of being less dependent on the template for creation was right. Still, it didn't change what I wanted right at this moment.

Then there was the fact that while indeed I had created false life, something close to an undead but not I didn't get the perk I needed. The perk all zombies needed. Infection. How was my false life to be successful if they couldn't make more of themselves? While I knew that it was quite distasteful a plan to unleash killing machines able to resuscitate their victims to their aid I also knew it was tbe best plan too.

I could always sit down and prep more living armor to battle for me. But, the other creators knew about my lovely armors, I was sure they were expected as well as my Unborn and also my Joundks. A desire to know more about the bones led to me solving an army problem. Yet another problem was numbers.

I sat down while the Destroyer and the reanimated angels stood still watching. I perused my notes searching for anything that could aid in my thoughts. I needed something that could help make a False Life gain infection or corruption.

'Corruption.' I paused. "Isn't that basically the same as infection? Changing the body into something else." I muttered.

"Ayarat already did something like this with her demons that attacked Vaustaris." As a Creator, I had access to all files on powers and abilities in my universe so I wasn't shocked to see a template appearing before me with details on what I needed.

"I can't use Devil's fire though. What else works like devil's fire, corrupting but not antagonist to divinity" With the shards in the destroyer and angels, devil's fire would react unfavorably. I cracked my head as I thought. Opening my status I looked at my info seeking what could be useful.

"There." I paused at the word in my insights. It was something that I had never used. "It seems you'll be seeing the light of day. With a smirk I took my book, at this point, it was best to call it a grimoire since I had also recorded all the work I had done with the false life and runes in it up to this point.

First I checked to make sure there was no rune for the insight. Then I took my time to create one. I didn't make just it though, I also made another with several added runes that would work as little helpers for the rune.

" I don't just need infection. Something to aid them. The destroyer already has the divine fire but something to slow stronger foes down would be helpful." I quickly checked my status again before spotting something that could go well with the first. My hand blurred on the page as I added another rune for the insight. But at this point, I decided to make runes for everything related in my grimoire and save me time for when next something like this was needed.

I was done after two or three hours mostly because I needed the runes to be perfect and registered the intent and insight within them. Once it was done I faced the creatures again. The destroyer took a step back as it felt its false life threatened.

"Sorry. But all things need perfection. Hopefully, you don't get traumatized after this "Its shard was once more ripped out of its body. Unlike before though I held its corpse together with my will settling gently onto the ground while I got to work with the rune I wanted to attach to its shard. Here was where yet another problem came. The shard was just the size of a palm, while it could grow with constant evolution, for now, it was small and as such had little space left for two runes.

Which made me ponder, the rune I needed to attach was close enough to one of the destroyers perks that I felt having both was unnecessary. This meant, I turned the shard and inscribed the rune into it while at the same time feeding my intent into the rune's placement. While this was good it didn't change the fact that there was no more space for tbe last rune I wanted.

"What to do?" I pondered. "Problems at every corner" I lamented.

A thought came. 'Could the Destroyer gain the ability of whatever creature whose shard it devoured? If so could I use another shard...' I pulled out another shard from my inventory. '... to inscribe the rune then have the destroyer consume it.

"If it works would it be because of the rune or the destroyer being able to consume other abilities?" It was time to find out. First I reset the shard back into the creature hoping it would be the last time I removed it. It would definitely be vetting trauma from all this. Before I could even sit to begin inscribing the shard glowed. The golden light from within it flared up and swept through the Destroyer's body. I watched it shiver and spasm as its body caught ablaze.

"That's new". The fire at the root was golden but from the middle to the tips it turned a sickly green. The destroyer was on its feet in an instant shaking its head as it glared around.

"Your eyes" I gasped. The formerly black holes of the beast were now ablaze with green flame. At the center a pinprick of golden light barely detectable without a closer look was visible.

I first checked its status and noted a mild difference in it.

[False Life] - [---------]

[Lv 1] - [ADVANCED]

A destroyer corpse powered by a Shard. It obeys only the purifier of its shard while animated.

[PERKS] - [Heightened sense] - [Life Sence] - [Sonic Scream] - [Necrotic Flames] - [False Life Evolution]

[Necrotic Flames]

[By pulling at the energy of its shard, the false life spews fire with corrupted energies. Such energies gather the various perks and characteristics of the false life as a template to corrupt its victim]

"The little runes worked. Good" By adding the little runes to the larger rune I gave the intent to use the false life's characteristics while infecting.

"Now." I raised the other shard with the rune inscribed on it emitting a pale blue dim. "Here. Consume".

I watched the creature stomp over to me on all fours. Watched it halt and snort over me while standing on its legs. It crouched lower which was unnecessary due to its long arms but once its chest was close to my head it dropped back to one arm and took the shard from me with the other.

The shard vanished down its maw and I watched as the shard melted down into liquid gold flowing down its gullet. My eyes glowed as I pulled divinity into my sight. While I had INFINITE COSMIC AWARENESS it was only active when in my Celestial mode.

I watched the liquified shard pour onto the main shard within the destroyer. Watched a part of the main shard melt into liquid and mix up with the new shard before turning solid. The Destroyer roared out and I could feel its aura intensify. I checked its template once more.

[PERKS] - [Heightened sense] - [Life Sense] - [Sonic Scream] - [Corruption Frost Fire] - [False Life Evolution]

[Necrotic Frost Fire]

[By pulling at the energy of its shard, the false life generates frost fire with corrupted energies. Such energies gather the various perks and characteristics of the false life as a template to corrupt its victim. If by chance a victim is incorruptible then the frost fire can be used as a weapon]

Before me the destroyer growled as it parted its maw, its claw clicked on the white ground and it reared to its full height. Blue flames ignited from the parts of its ripped flesh and ignited its skin in frost fire.

" A Navedalk. The beginning after their end".

My gaze turned to the still-standing reanimated angels with a smile lighting up my face. 'I do wonder what you'll think Helios. Your Angels will look amazing. What a lore this will be, hehe heh.'

It took me a long time to repeat the changes with the angel shard but it was all done swiftly at least. Before me stood eleven winged beings with eerie green glowing eyes. Their two pairs of wings lit aflame in blue fire.

Yet there was one issue left with all of them. The outer realms had nothing like mana, chaos, or whatnot. The only way to act here was through will. Spells work by using the mana in one's body to interact with tbe mana outside the body to create the desired effect. In some places atleast. For me and the others, it was our use of will, and intent to force the effects we desired.

Without mana in the environment, there was no way for the angels to perform any kind of perk. They'd need to have an abundant influx of mana to force the effects desired around them.

"This brings me to the problem I've been avoiding. How does one make divine mana without the template? Or in this case Corruptive mana." I blinked for a full minute before groaning head slumping.

"I can't even blame the devs here, I dug myself into this conundrum."
