PLAINS OF MISTRELON

Two guards stood at repaired city gates their stances lax and their attention drifting here and there. It was obvious they were bored out of their wits. Annoyed and displeased too. It was unbecoming of great Destruction dragons to be placed as gatekeepers instead of being sent out to rain havoc on the lands that bore enmity with the Mistress. While both knew they were weaker than most if not all the Destruction and End dragons it was still a fact that they both were stronger than the other two entities brought by their Mistress partners.

The angels were not even a match in body size or destructive capabilities let alone the Demoni. Those sly creatures that only knew how.to deceive and trick. The destruction dragons with all their thoughts knew there was nothing they could do about it. Except for sulking which was very easy.

Drowning in their boredom and self-depreciation both missed the slight twinkle of a far-off star within the forest bordering their territory before it vanished. The twinkle appeared again with none the wiser to its presence. This time it stayed instead of quickly vanishing. Then another twinkle appeared, and another and another, adding up in numbers until there were just too many to count. It was at this moment though that the dragons detected something off. As higher beings and in this case dragons, the creatures had a good sense of hearing and scent too. It wasn't even the fact that whatever was happening made noise. Nor was it due to the eerie pricks of green light slowly advancing upon the city.

It was the very silence that rang in their ears that perturbed them. The absence of the chirp, the creek, and the slightly unpredictable twig snaps beneath feet from the creatures that survived in the forest. Both dragons froze for reasons they found unknown, their heads turning slowly to peek down the city wall. The gulp was loud, their eyes round with shock and bodies frozen in curiosity while they stared at a sea of green eerie light emptying from the forest and racing across the white lands to them.

It wasn't until the lights had gotten half-wag across the grounds, that their eyes picked up on what they were looking at. Unknown to the dragons the passive trait of the creatures coming was what blocked them from detection. If not for the eerie flames in their eyes then they would have remained completely inconspicuous. With the distance removed their stealth had been further nullified revealing them to the dragons.

If their eyes were round from the shock of seeing the lights then right now they bulged as apprehension raced up their spine. The dragons had seen a few of the creatures in this realm, beings that were rumored to have given even their mistress a tough time. Creatures that were known for their prowess and strength in the hunt.

It was only right for both to feel a sense of dread as both stared at the army of Destroyers racing for them. If the tales weren't frightening enough, then the gleam of the green fire blazing in their eyes and burning on parts of their body added fuel to their growing alarm. This was what made it able for them to completely skip out on the winged angels flying above their heads.

The moon's silver rays aided the fiery red glow of the campfire in bringing light to the camps of adventurers. Their camp was set at the edges of the misty mountains in the first continent. It was once a well-known beautiful green mountain with plants and trees growing off it as it ascended to the clouds. Now though after a natural event had taken place on it there was nothing to be seen but the fog that covered it from top to bottom.

It was here that the kings of the several kingdoms had sent a party to investigate what lay within. Due to the respect and power Oritais had gotten since the day of the light their presence in this scouting party was assured. Of course, no one but she who was touched by the Absolute was regarded best for it.

The camp fired suddenly blazed higher, growing tall and bright. The red flames lost their color as the entire fire became a glaring gold. Like smoke the flames flowed in the air to meet and conjoin at the center-right in front of a tent. As the fire condensed into feet, steps were taken leaving burning prints on the ground., condensed into a wide hip and narrow waist, chest, and hands before it formed a head with long glowing hair. Light as white as snow and as bright as the sum spilled from her eyes as her fiery palms touched and moved the tent flap aside.

As expected nothing ignited except for the spots she stepped on and even then the flames were bound to the exact position of her feet unable to burn anything else. Within the tent lay a young female. The fiery manifestation knew without a doubt that the female's looks were in no way a point for her true age. Unlike the rest of the world whose aging slowed with their continuous rise in power, this female had all but stopped aging. At thirty-five she was still as young as she had been when she was twenty.

The incarnate stood there its white eyes watching the sleeping girl. It was trying to sense if indeed she still had the connection with that one when the girl's eyes flashed open. From. within smoke and heat exploded with vigor, flames cascaded out descending over her body and skin, orange light emanating from underneath her skin as she caught fire. Her hair became red hot as her eyes turned golden.

With a step the tent ground around her exploded in flames as she grabbed the incarnate and appeared outside. The ground cracked with the force she used to slam the thing down. The ground area turning into ash from both women's body heat.

The entire camp was already awakened from the first explosion of fire and the second explosion only served to chase any lingering sleep. from their eyes as they rushed out. Most halted right outside their tents mouth agape as they took in the scene before them. Two females wreathed in flames clashing against each other. Most did notice that while one was made out of the element the other was deeply wreathed in it. A fire made being against a burning human.

Two fists made of fiery flames slammed into each other, the shockwave from the blast sent both sliding back leaving foot trenches in the ground. A slight glance into her status shocked Daena as she saw how a few skills leveled up from this altercation.

With just three clashes she had gotten two levels in both Thermal conductivity and thermal. Daena eyed the female made of fire as she admired the new increase in her levels. Since the end of the demon wars there had been little to no fights that gave much experience for her to level up.
