"How are you doing?"
Cien inquired as Kirana approached him. His daughter nodded with a slight smile.
"Hm, Kiran is fine. It's just... there's this sweet voice that keeps calling out in my mind."
"Yes, I understand."
"?"
"Oh, not you, Father. Kiran replied to Muni."
"Muni?"
"Moon Rabbit in Moonice. Muni!"
"Huh? You've already given it a name?"
Cien didn't expect Kirana and the spirit of the Moon Rabbit to adapt so quickly. It seemed Cien didn't need to worry about his daughter.
"Hmm, reply? Wait, the Moon Rabbit can talk?"
Kirana shook her head, "No. There's just the kyu-kyu sound. But for some reason, Kiran understands the meaning it wants to convey."
Cien chuckled nervously. It seemed that if he were in Kirana's shoes, he would find the rabbit's voice only irritating.
Shiing!
Suddenly, the magic circle lit up once again.
Cien and the others looked towards the center of the magic circle. There, Legia was already prepared to face the spirit of the dragon that was about to emerge, her face slightly pale.
"I don't think you need to be that nervous," commented Cien, for whom, regardless of whether a dragon emerged, that spirit was just a small dragon. No need to panic.
"But this is a dragon. A creature believed to be the top species in Kastia," Kirana added.
"Hmm..."
Was that really the case? Cien felt that the dragon spirit within Crimsonagin wasn't all that special. Because that dragon was merely a low-class dragon. And a baby.
On the other hand, Legia was truly trembling.
She had only faced a dragon once before, a Lesser Earth Dragon, and even that was just a low-class dragon. Yet, it was strong enough to make her feel helpless.
Not to mention that the dragon had been defeated by Cien, not by her.
So, facing the dragon spirit alone only made her more anxious. Legia wasn't aware that the dragon residing in Crimsonagin was the same dragon she had fought against.
Well, more accurately, Cien didn't inform her. He probably forgot.
An aura like smoke began to emanate from Crimsonagin, forming a silhouette in front of Legia.
When it was complete, Legia fell silent.
"...huh?"
Before her, at about half of Legia's height, floated a sleeping t-rex. Sleeping curled up like a cat, with bubbles of air coming out of its nostrils. It looked comical.
"Zzz…zzz… zzz…"
Legia observed the small dragon figure. Its body shape felt familiar, resembling the dragon she had once fought against.
"Don't tell me..."
Legia glanced towards Cien and found the satisfied smile of the Shop Owner beyond the boundary of the magic circle.
Just from seeing that smile, Legia already knew that the spirit of the dragon was the same one she had faced before.
"What should I do? It's sleeping."
"Zzz…"
"Legia! Just proceed with the contract process!"
Cien yelled from outside. For Cien, Legia didn't need to pay too much attention to the dragon's opinion. Just force the contract on it!
Hearing this, Legia's eyes widened with anxiety.
'It's a dragon! What if it wakes up and gets angry?'
Well, if that's what might happen. Cien just thought that Legia just needed to get angry in return. Letting the dragon know that she was the one with authority.
After all, the weapon belonged to Legia. Not the other way around.
However, Cien's thinking didn't align with Legia's. The woman wanted a mutually cooperative relationship, not one dominating over the other.
"Hey~ wake up~"
Legia gently greeted the dragon soul.
"What is she doing?" Cien asked.
"Perhaps she's trying to wake up the little dragon."
"Eee... didn't I say to just proceed straight away?"
Kirana smiled faintly. To her, Legia had her own way of doing things.
On the other hand, Fenrir, who had been silent all this time, showed interest in the dragon spirit in front of them.
'Quite intriguing. Even though it's low-class, it's still a dragon. Not something easily encountered. It would be very interesting if the dragon acknowledged this little girl.'
For his own amusement, Fenrir sent a telepathic message to the dragon's spirit, causing the still-slumbering consciousness of the dragon to stir.
"Hey~ is there a dragon there~?" Legia continued to call softly.
Legia began to think that the dragon in front of her might be difficult to awaken. Considering even Cien didn't know how to wake it up. He had even handed the task over to Legia.
However, unexpectedly, there was movement in the eyelids of the small dragon in front of Legia.
"!"
Legia waited while continuing to call out, until finally, with eyes that looked drowsy, the dragon woke up. It saw a woman watching it.
Without being told, the dragon already knew that it had become the spirit of a weapon. During the assimilation process, it had forced itself to be absorbed into the Crimsonagin.
So, seeing the woman in front of it, the dragon knew that she was its owner.
The dragon smiled and then grinned.
"! It can talk?!"
Both Legia and Cien were surprised.
Cien knew very well that the dragon spirit had only been at Rank 7 when it was killed. Generally, monsters below the Rank Jack shouldn't be able to speak using human language.
Legia was left speechless. Meanwhile, Cien wondered whether dragons were truly that intelligent. Could they think logically and communicate from birth?
This question was answered by Fenrir, explaining that the dragon race could learn faster, but not as quickly as being able to reason and speak from birth.
Typically, dragons could start thinking logically when their power level reached Rank 5.
Only a few genius dragons could speak before reaching that Rank 5, like Hela, who could speak at Rank 2.
"I never heard it speak when I first encountered it in the forest over there."
"Maybe, but I'd be considered crazy. Talking to insects might as well land you in the psycho category."
Cien chuckled dryly, listening to this explanation. So, at that time, that damn dragon had indeed seen him as a meal.
Cien looked back at Legia. She saw the woman conversing with the dragon, then Legia dropped her blood onto the forehead of the small dragon, which was subsequently absorbed, causing the dragon to return to the Crimsonagin.
Legia completed the closing incantation, causing the mana dome that surrounded her to sink into her heart. After the blood contract ritual was done, Legia let out a relieved breath.
"Haha, alright."
Legia slowly walked back to where Cien was, laughing inwardly at the dragon's last message.
"How did it go, Legia?" Cien asked as Legia returned.
"Perfect, Lord Millard. Just that the dragon… might be a bit lazy."
"Is that so? Can I see your Crimsonagin for a moment?"
"Yes, here."
Legia handed her Crimsonagin over to Cien. However, when Cien touched it, he felt a slight resistance. It was only for a moment before the resistance faded.
Cien was confused but quickly realized that Crimsonagin had become Legia's personal weapon now. Others who tried to hold it would likely experience resistance.
Fortunately, Cien was the creator of the spear. So, he could still hold it. Although in the first few seconds, he felt some rejection, and it was as if his blood was being absorbed by the weapon.
'Hmm, when I first touched Moonice earlier, it was like this too. If I keep touching it, maybe the rapier won't keep freezing me. Well, that's if I'm still alive before the rapier remembers me as its creator.'
Cien noted this in his mind. Because next time he encountered a weapon with a soul he had created, he needed to know the dangers he could face.
These weapons seemed to take a few seconds before recognizing him as their creator. Those seconds could be fatal to Cien's life if he wasn't careful.
Cien examined the spear, rotating and swinging it. He felt the balance and weight that seemed unchanged.
Then, Cien took out his phone and took a picture to update Crimsonagin's status in his weapon data archive.
__________
[Crimsonagin]
Quality: Very High
Rarity: Legendary
Skills: Crimson Dominion, Queen of Blood, Photosynthesis, Dragon's Might.
Lesser Earth Dragon Soul: Summon Dragon Soul, Rage.
A magical spear crafted from a blend of Flower Blood Boa bone and Mythril.
During the alchemical assimilation, the spear absorbed the blood of five monsters above Rank 5, turning it into a bloodthirsty weapon.
One of the absorbed bloods was from a dragon, imbuing the spear with the evolving personality of the dragon blood it absorbed.
The personality of the weapon is that of a low-class Earth Dragon who enjoys sleeping. The strength of the dragon's spirit within the spear can be enhanced by absorbing higher-quality dragon blood.
Note: If the spear's owner isn't careful, its personality may be influenced by the dragon blood consciousness within the weapon.
Crafted by Cien Millard.
__________
"Hoo~"
Cien was slightly amazed to see the new skills within Crimsonagin.
First is Summon Dragon Soul.
A skill that could call forth and materialize the dragon's spirit residing within Crimsonagin into the real world.
This meant the dragon could briefly come back to life in its original form. Only for five minutes.
The dragon's power upon revival would be the same as when it died, Rank 7. This Rank could increase if the dragon's blood was further purified by absorbing high-quality dragon blood.
This skill could only be used once a month. Longer cooldown compared to the skills on Moonice.
The second skill was Rage.
This skill could plunge the user into an uncontrollable state of anger. The angrier the user got, the greater their Rank would increase.
There was a note beneath the explanation of the Rage skill, cautioning the user to be careful when using it.
Because while in a state of rage, the user would be unable to distinguish friend from foe. They would attack recklessly with multiplied strength. This skill could be used once every three days.
'What a terrifying skill…
Cien thought, as these skills seemed to make Crimsonagin even more like a weapon born from darkness. Bloodthirst, dragon aura, and rage.
Cien glanced at Legia, who had always appeared composed with her beauty and masculine features.
'Legia as a berserker, huh. Something is wrong, it's a bit absurd but it could be interesting.'
Cien thought as he handed Crimsonagin back to Legia, then proceeded to explain the two new skills it now possessed.
Hearing about the new skills, Legia wasn't happy. In fact, she turned pale with a shiver running down her spine.
Kirana, who was beside Cien, started sweating on her neck as she imagined Legia laughing maniacally and rampaging blindly through enemy ranks.
'It looks like Legia will become even more horrifying in the eyes of her comrades. Sigh, Father... what have you just done?'
