CHAPTER 38

Everyone was fixated on the woman in front of them, singing with such a melodious tone that they couldn't help getting distracted. Andrea took a sip of her wine, waiting for the canary bird to end her performance.

"Did you already tell your men to blend in within the crowds, Barros?" Andrea said while taking a sip of the wine. It was not the usual wine she gets to drink, much more like a cheap version.

"Yes." He replied shortly.

"Why are you so tense? Haven't seen a real war against syndicates? Are you nervous?" Andrea asked, casually teasing the man beside her. Phileo raised his eyebrows and looked at her with a disdainful emotion held in his face.

"As if. I've been on the frontlines, commanding and delivering plans darling, I'm prepared for the worst." Phileo said smirking as he moved closer to her to whisper behind her ears.
