From this Carnation Goddess Painting, he is going to select only 1 Saintess to be the Carnation Goddess. 

But before this great work can be completed, he is mortally wounded by the 7 Saintesses and is thought to be dead. But he's back now for vengeance.

Now in cultivation, these were the stages of the cultivation realms; Foundation, Qi Condensation, Bronze Core, Silver Core, Gold Core, Yuan Yin, Revolving Core, Awakened, Saint/ Saintess, Sage Saint/ Sage Saintess, Grand Sage Saint/ Grand Sage Saintess.

The Carnation Goddess

Shen Lie was now walking slowly back to the three holy saintesses Sheng Feiyan, Beitang Fang and Qian Yufeng who were all looking at him and curious to know what he had been talking about with Qi Keqin.

He began to sign softly as he slowly turned to look at Beitang Fang, "I know about your heart demon ruse now."

When Beitang Fang had heard him, she had turned ashen immediately and she was bleary eyed; she had been trying to confess her sins to Shen Lie and she knows that she was wrong in trying to use such an unorthodox mean on Shen Lie.

She was merely trying to get Shen Lie's attentions and she was secretly hoping that he may be alive after 100 years.

Qi Keqin did not betray Beitang Fang actually.

It was because Beitang Fang was going to confess her wrongdoings to Shen Lie anyway when he had returned from his experiential training.
