Chapter 17: The Call to a New Home

After leaving Merribel Woods,Destiny,Voya and Na all walk throughout the vast empty grassy fields. Things are a little awkward as Na sees Destiny isn't in the best mood to be talking at the moment. He thinks back to seeing her father and wonders if he did the right thing hiding in a large tree. He saw it as the cowards way out. But what else could he do? What would he say to her father even?

"H-Hey uh..listen..That was all just a sudden event now wasn't it?" The slender boy says as he walks besides the giant wolf. Destiny said nothing instead she just had her arms crossed followed by her head tilted down. The girl was deep within her own thoughts and didn't know how to explain her own father to her new friend. "D- Destiny? Look I..I uh..wow..that was your dad?" Na paused trying to give the quiet girl a chance to speak,yet she said nothing. "Wow..um he's a pretty big fellow. I know you barely talk about him,but surely you know..ya kinda miss him?" Na said. This upset Destiny shot a glare at Na and squinted her eyes. This meant she means business.

"Hmmph..I DID miss him at one point. Not any more though." The girl said coldly she sped in front of Na and Voya. Frustrated, angry and even furious with her father. The girl had every right to resent him. He never showed her any love nor any praise. All he did was make her limited time spend with him a living nightmare. Destiny sat on a small smooth rock and folded her knees to her chin. She buried her face in between them and let out a heavy sigh.

"Sigh...Why..why..WHY?!! I Didn't ask to be born!! I didn't ask to have such a horrible crappy life!! Why do I have to have a SCUMBAG FOR A FATHER?!! The girl yelled as she was about to slam her fist down on the rock. Suddenly Na stopped her from doing so and looked her deep into her eyes.

Tears began to well up and stream down her light grey cheeks. Na said nothing. He just gently brushed her fluffy hair from her right eye and kissed her cheek. This made him and Destiny blush. The two hugged each other tightly. Na held her to his chest. Destiny's face was close to the young boy's heart. She gently giggled and sniffled her nose. She then realized Na's kiss to her cheek. As she slowly lifted her head. She met Na's gaze with her own.

"Sorry..w..was the kiss too soon? I know that doesn't usually happen at all..I'm not good with relationships or..girls for that matter I just th-" The boy stammered before Destiny pressed his lips with her slender fingers. She smiled and hugged him.

"It's alright..thanks in fact. I'm honestly glad Father didn't see you. He'd probably maim you even if he saw you speaking to me,well if he was a GOOD father. Not some stupid jerk. I mean..I love him and he knows that..I guess..I'm just scared." She paused. "Scared of so many things and I don't know what to do,were to go or even how to fix the things he's ruined." Destiny said as she gently placed her hands on Na's. The boy listened and hugged her closely. They were like this for a while. Destiny did fly above the treeline to see if her father and his little companion were still in the same area. It'd appeared that they have vanished. "Good no sign of them. I suppose we can go back to that tree. I just hope we'll be safe." The small girl thought.

Destiny descended back down and flew away she turned towards the tree which was only a few yards away. Na gave her an understanding smile and took his hand in hers. She squeezed it tight and flown through the forest once again. Voya followed behind the two at a steady pace. The massive wolf thankfully was very quiet and understood what Destiny wanted her to do. The trio scaled back up to the tallest tree in the midst of Merribel Woods.

This time Voya rested on the lower branch and the pair rested on the much larger open part of the tree. It was nightfall and all was dark. What wasn't was Na. He was in deep thought and played back all the things throughout the last few hours. From running away as a criminal, to getting lost in the woods,chased by a giant wolf,meeting a deities' daughter, see said daughter in the nude, kissing her cheek and now laying not but a few feet from her silently yet internally panicking. Destiny felt the same way about Na. Besides Luna, Na was the only person she knew besides her mother Nea,her father Fafir and even the palace guards, cooks and other deities. She didn't have much of a life,but that didn't mean she couldn't start now.

A determined smile formed on her face. She gently chuckled and closed her eyes gently drifting off to sleep under the night sky. Na smiled too and drifted off to dreamland. He slept until the sun rose in the morning. He woke to find himself laying on Destiny's small chest. Her soft yet small ample breasts were the perfect cushion. Her delicate light grey skin illuminated by the golden sunrise. He blushed red hot and slowly pulled away looking down at her cute feminine features. Destiny was also blushing as she slowly took notice.

The two sat there quietly for what seemed like forever. Finally,they looked at one another and spoke in unison,"Well...this is..something.." Both laughed quietly then grew silent as the silence grew uncomfortable. Each feeling awkward in their own right..Destiny being socially inept and nervous,while Na had experience with dating girls in the past. To him Destiny was completely different.

The girl shifted slightly on the branch trying to find her voice and Na was trying to find something to say. "So...any ideas of where we should go now? I mean..we can uh..um rest here. I'd just would hate to get another unexpected encounter from Daddy Dearest." Na nervously mentioned. He nervously giggles making Destiny regain her friendly attitude and some of her confidence she gently slugged the boy in his left arm. However due to her otherworldly strength the boy was sent gliding across the floor nearly falling off the tree itself. Destiny caught him just in time.

"Sorry..guess this godly strength does come from genetics hehe. Uh..let's make sure you don't die okay? Up ya go!!" The girl exclaimed as she easily lifted the boy up with only hooking one finger around his index finger. She gently placed him on the branch with her and smirked.

"Nice skirt. If I didn't know better, I'd say you like it hehehe. I don't have any other clothes but maybe my mom has some for ya. I just gotta find a way to contact her..hmm..ah! That's it!!" Destiny exclaimed.

"What's it Destiny?" Na asked. The girl reached into her dress and pulled out a pink and purple smartphone. She wiggled it and giggled. "B..But I thought your dad had it after the incident? How'd ya get it back?" Na wondered. Destiny puffed up her cheeks and floated to Na looking up at the slightly taller boy. "Hmmph..Like I'll ever tell..don't ya have faith in me?" Destiny said as she playfully pouted.

"Okay ya little gremlin..I do believe you. Work your magic and let's get on out of here. The pitch black forest is creeping me out. " The boy complained. Destiny snickered and patted his head. She cleared her throat and proceeded with her call.

About thousand of lightyears in space,by some miracle Nea was awoken from her slumber within the Hidden Base. It was a utter surprise as no one on Neo could or should be able to reach the Hidden Base. It exceeded all Neotic limitations, yet maybe it was more than that. Maybe it was a mother's love for her child.

The small goddess with wild hair lazily slumped out of her bed half asleep. She begrudgingly picked up her phone and answered. "H..hello? This is Nea..Q-Queen of the zzzzzzzz.." The deity said as she fell asleep. The tired woman fell to her large bed and was quickly awaken by a familiar voice. "Hi Mommy..eh..ehehe..Been a while and I know your soooo tired. Maybe tomorrow would be a better time." Destiny said over the phone.

Nea sprang to her feet and woke her self up completely she couldn't believe that she was hearing her baby girl's voice. Happy as she was. Destiny faked hanging up the phone so Nea stopped her. "Hold it little princess!! Now just were do you think your going young lady!!? You haven't spoken to your mother or your brother Psion in a while. Don't think I'm letting you off that easy!!" Nea said as she placed a hand on her hip.

Na was holding back a laugh overhearing Destiny getting yelled at. The girl stuck her tongue out at Na and continued with her call. Destiny answered back. "I'm in a forest right now as we speak..well Merribel Woods to be exact. I manage to get my phone off Pops..what TRIP that was." She said sarcastically. "Anyway..uh ya mind telling me where you're at..caused I can't afford spending another night in a tree. "Destiny finshed as she rubbed her buttocks with her free hand. Nea just sat silent for a moment. She knew everyone would be ecstatic to see Destiny, yet how would Psion respond. She shrugged it off and told Deatiny everything. The young girl listened carefully and was so excited to finally be reunited with her mother.

"Awesome Mommy!! I can't wait to see you guys. Oh this is gonna be so fun. I'll get started and head there right away!! Byeeee. "Destiny cheerfully sanged. She hung up her phone looked at Na and hugged him tight. She also patted Voya on her head. She took a step back and announced some important news.

"Ahem..well according to Mommy..uh..um..Mother. She's gonna have a portal ready to go for us by tonight. So why don't we pack up and get ready to head there. She said it's a bright blue color. We shouldn't be able to miss it." Destiny paused. She held Na by the hand and thanked him. She thanked him for all the comfort and brief moments they shared. For a moment Na did seem saddened by this news,then Destiny smiled and lifted his spirits.

"Don't worry we'll go there together buddy hehe. Let's get a move on!" She exclaimed. As she packed her bag and Voya's belongings Na too was excited. He'd be the first male human to meet the Neotic Deities. Anxiety was present in his heart but he shook it off.

"Cool..if all ya friends are there,then let's get going. I can't wait to meet all the deities." The boy said. The trio packed up and gracefully descended down the tree there they went out in search of the blue portal that would lead to a new home.
