"So, this is the boss's nephew and he said that he wanted to go with you to the Purple Old Manor?" Han Yao said and looked at Duan Yuan who was sitting on the backseat. When he saw that the other is actually looking at them, he immediately retracted his gaze.

"Yes." Su Yu felt his head hurt. "The boss told me himself to take his nephew to 'play' in the Purple Old Manor with me." He told Han Yao.

Han Yao's lip twitched. "Does the boss think that you are going to a playground instead of a haunted house?!" he whispered to Su Yu while gnashing his teeth in anger as he remembered their boss, Duan Fanbai.

Duan Fanbai is a serious but generous businessman that is why the employees like him, especially the livestream anchors since the contract they signed is sixty-forty, with theirs sixty and the company forty. Duan Fanbai also is not a corrupt person nor he is harsh or harasses his employees. So, the atmosphere in the company is good.

But, Han Yao didn't expect that Duan Fanbai would send his nephew to a haunted house. Even if Su Yu is skilled to be able to earn a title 'exorcist', but they know that Su Yu is not an exorcist! What if his nephew dies in the haunted house?! It will fall on Su Yu's head.

Su Yu also thought of this. "Could it be that he is dissatisfied with me, thinking that I was secretly contacted by the rival company and will jump boats?" he asked Han Yao.

Han Yao's brow twitched. "You are the top anchor in the horror department, and the company is very generous to you." He spoke. "No one is bullying you, too, and you even have a good relationship with everyone. So, why would the boss kick you out through this?" he asked. "And to even use his nephew?" he added.

Su Yu grimaced. "Then I can't think of any reason." He said and shrugged.

Han Yao sighed.

Duan Yuan, who could hear their whispers, spoke. "It was my own will to go to the Purple Old Manor." He told them.

Han Yao and Su Yu turned to him.

"Hey…" Han Yao muttered when he suddenly noticed something. "You are… blind?" he asked when he saw Duan Yuan's eyes.

Su Yu has noticed this, too, earlier but he didn't say anything. Also, Duan Yuan acted like he is not blind, so he thought that the other might not be blind. But, it turned out that he is.

"I remember now… the boss has a blind nephew." Han Yao muttered.

"I am." Daun Yuan calmly replied.

Han Yao grimaced. "That… I didn't mean – " he stammered.

"It's fine." Duan Yuan nodded in understanding.

Han Yao saw that Duan Yuan is not angry and he sighed in relief. "So… why do you want to go to the Purple Old Manor?" he asked. And he is even blind… could it be because he is blind that is why he is not afraid to go there? Since he won't be able to see if there are ghosts there. He can't help but think.

Su Yu stared at Duan Yuan, waiting for the other's reply. Duan Yuan didn't tell him the answer earlier.

Duan Yuan fell silent and faced the direction of Su Yu. Should I tell him? He thought and hesitated. But, the Feixue Guild… "I – " he muttered. He was about to speak when Su Yu cut him off.

"Forget it." Su Yu said and waved his hand. "If it is difficult for you to say, then I won't force you." He said.

"Xiao Yu…?" Han Yao looked at him in surprise.

Duan Yuan was also surprised.

"But, I see that you are determined to go to the Purple Old Manor." Su Yu continued. "So, whatever your reason is, as long as you can protect yourself later… well, this is shameful. I will protect you later." He said as he placed a hand on his forehead. He still didn't forget that this is Duan Fanbai's order. "As long as you behave later, then I won't kick you out." He told Duan Yuan.

Duan Yuan nodded in understanding. "Thank you, senior." He said.

Han Yao looked at them, feeling speechless. But, when he recalled Duan Fanbai, his head hurt. Thus, he didn't speak anymore and just drove them to Su Yu's apartment unit so Su Yu could prepare for tonight's livestream.

"Just place the bags on the couch. I will fix them later." Su Yu told Duan Yuan as they entered the door while Han Yao has already left.

Su Yu has a guess that Han Yao will go to complain to Duan Fanbai because of this arrangement.

Duan Yuan nodded as did as he told. "That… I actually – " he spoke, still feeling guilty.

But, Su Yu ignored him as he opened the refrigerator. "Would you like some soda?" he asked.

Duan Yuan secretly sighed, then nodded. "Yes. Thank you." He answered.

Su Yu handed him the drink before he took the bags to the kitchen and began sorting them. "You know… I don't mind having someone with me when exploring haunted houses…" he spoke.

Duan Yuan faced in his direction.

"What I mind is a pig teammate." Su Yu said. "Especially the brainless ones who don't know how to behave…" he said.

"I understand." Duan Yuan immediately answered. "I won't be a hindrance to you later." He told Su Yu.

Su Yu smiled. "So, don't stress yourself in giving me an explanation." He said and went to his room.

Duan Yuan was left in the living room. He hesitated before he sat on the couch. Then, he took out his mobile phone that kept vibrating inside his pocket. Duan Yuan pressed a button from his memory and answered the call. "Hello?" he spoke.

"Duan Yuan!" a loud voice spoke from the other line, making Duan Yuan move away his phone from his ear. "Why didn't you return to school?! Although I am thankful that you had these beautiful girls deliver the book to me, but – " he said, only to be cut off by Duan Yuan.

"Someone wanted to go to the Purple Old Manor." Duan Yuan said.

Cen Haorong paused from the other line. Then, his voice rose a decibel. "What did you say?!?!" he was shocked. "The Purple Old Manor… aren't people cowards? So, even if they are thinking of going there, they wouldn't dare – " he said.

"But there is someone." Duan Yuan spoke and faced the direction where Su Yu left. "I have to keep an eye on him." He said and ended the call.
