Second Room

CLICK –

The online audience, including Su Yu and Duan Yuan, felt like all the hairs in their body rose at their ends when they heard that soft click which was almost inaudible, but with the deafening and eerie silence in their surroundings, the sound reached their ears. That soft click made them feel like their hearts were hammered hard and sank like a stone.

And it was as if it was not enough… after the doorknob twisted open, the door moved open, with a low creak, creating a small slit which slightly revealed the inside of the room, as if enticing them to look more…

"*trembling in fear"

"*shuddering of the coldness of this world"

"Wuwuwuwu QAQ"

"Mommy… TTATT"

"I don't know anymore… I am scared!!!"

"I can't… I won't be able to sleep tonight, I swear!!!"

"Why… why is this livestream way too scary?! This is scarier than the horror movies!!!"

"The heck! This is now the second room!!! What is in there?! I can barely see something from the small slit!"

"Upstairs is too brave to not be scared to still mind about the room… I felt my heart skipped a beat when I heard that soft click of the doorknob. Then, there is that low creaking of the door when it moved… wuwuwwuwu I wanna go home now and never come out again! This world is too scary! QAQ"

"This is way better than the movies…"

"Anchor, no more please? QAQ"

"Upstairs, it shouldn't be the anchor that you are telling that, but the evil ghost itself."

"Why is this livestream so scary?! I feel like I am about to have an attack at any time! This is not good for the heart!"

Su Yu and Duan Yuan froze as they listened to the creaking of the door as it opens slightly. Su Yu's expression is stiff as he stared at that darkness that the door revealed through the slit.

Damn this ghost… really knows how to play huh? Su Yu thought as a vein popped in his forehead due to irritation. "Junior, are you - ?" he spoke and turned to look at Duan Yuan, only to see that his brows are knitted, as if he is solving a problem. Oh? He is actually not scared? Su Yu thought, feeling surprised.

"Senior." Duan Yuan called after he has recovered from being startled just now. "This door was not here earlier, but appeared now… it seems like the ghost is telling us something." He said.

Su Yu started. "En. You are right." He nodded in agreement as he faced the second door. If the evil ghost wanted to harm there, it could have earlier when they were still groping in the darkness and were still like lost lambs when they arrived inside the Purple Old Mansion. Or it could have earlier than that…

But the ghost didn't. Instead, it was either distracting them, or it was actually leading them. And the ghost leading them is shown when the doors appeared in this hallway. And they confirmed their guess with this second door. Is it actually helping them? They can't help but thought.

Yet it seemed not right either. If it wanted to convey something to them, which should be the truth of the Purple Old Manor, then it shouldn't have covered up the real face of the Purple Old Manor by deceiving their eyes… albeit they could see through it with their special abilities (both don't know that the other does).

So, what's the evil ghost's deal? Why is it so… contradicting in its actions? Both Su Yu and Duan Yuan think, but the other doesn't know that they are thinking the same way.

"Go in?" Duan Yuan asked Su Yu.

Since they didn't detect any hostility or malicious intent, well, yet, from the evil ghost, and the second room is the only thing that they haven't checked yet, then they could only go in right now and check the second room.

"En." Su Yu nodded as he pushed the door open, slowly revealing the entire inside of the room.

"Wuuuu nothing popped out, right?"

"There is nothing… yet."

"The slow motion of the door is so suspenseful! I feel like my heart is going to jump out of its ribcage!"

"If this is going to be made into a movie, then I will definitely go watch it many times in the theatres."

"Does anchor has no plan to enter the entertainment industry?"

"Hm? I don't." Su Yu answered after he saw the latest comment.

"Why?"

"Probably because… livestreaming is easier?" Su Yu answered.

"Hahahahaha. Anchor is right."

"Yes. Even if the anchor also has an agent, but the anchor shouldn't have his own manager, right? To monitor his diet and other things."

"I totally agree that livestreaming is easier. After all, it has no schedule like the actors. The livestreaming has a flexible time."

Su Yu smiled as he read their comments before he turned to look inside the room, until he heard something. "Hm? Junior, what are you doing?" he asked when he saw that Duan Yuan is fumbling on the wall.

"Checking if there also no switch for the lights here." Duan Yuan answered.

Su Yu nodded in understanding and raised his flashlight to also check. "There's none." He answered. He has already expected this.

"Then, this means…" Duan Yuan muttered and turned to face Su Yu.

Su Yu fell silent since he also recalled something. And, as if confirming their thoughts, the wall where Su Yu's flashlight was aimed at showed a candelabra hanging on it.

Su Yu. "…" I knew it… he thought and sighed.

The online audience. "..." here it is!!! they all thought as they spammed the screen with exclamation marks again.

Duan Yuan noticed Su Yu's silence again and knew that something has appeared again. "The candelabras again?" he asked.

"En." Su Yu nodded as he watched the room slowly brightened. He aimed his flashlight at one of the candelabras and, sure enough, he saw that the candles were lit up.

Here they go again to search the room for clues.
