The entire Paradise Old Manor has fallen into darkness which light cannot pass through. But, inside it, on the second floor in the hallway of its right-wing was actually a small light coming from the flat and transparent screen of a small object where some comment bubbles are flying very fast making the light coming from the rectangular-shaped object look like blinking.

This object is a mobile phone created for convenience such as calling someone from a distant land, sending a message to them… or just like right now, it is used as a luminous object. And this luminous object cast its light on a very beautiful face which the skin is fair. With the light coming from the mobile phone screen, the skin looked fairer. The owner of this face has his gaze downwards, where his pair of peach blossom eyes stared at another object which is lying beside his feet.

This object was also used for lamination, but right now, not even a speck of light can be seen from it since it was broken into pieces. As to why…

Su Yu slowly raised his head and his face turned dark while he stood outside the door. His eyes are filled with anger and resentment as he looked at the door… across the hallway. Yes, it was the door across the door where he stood outside. Why is he outside a door while staring at another door with eyes filled with such emotions?

The hands of his wristwatch that are pointing to half past midnight turned back to half an hour ago.

Su Yu was just about to explain to Duan Yuan what does the word 'FLAG' means as slang when suddenly, he sensed something. His head immediately turned while his eyes narrowed as he gazed sharply inside the room. Despite the similarity in the location of one of the two doors in the hallway of the first floor, the content of the room is surprisingly different from the content of the room on the first floor.

The both of them raised their flashlights as they used the light to navigate the inside of the room using their sight. Oh, right, only Su Yu since Duan Yuan can't see. But, Duan Yuan's disabled sight didn't stop him from helping Su Yu since Duan Yuan moved his hand to carefully let his flashlight illuminate the other parts of the room so that Su Yu would have a wider scope of vision of what was inside the room.

But, unfortunately, even their two flashlights in hand didn't make Su Yu see what he sensed just now. However, this didn't hinder Su Yu from guessing that it should be the evil ghost. Did the evil ghost finally come out now that it has gotten stronger? Did it come out to take a look at Su Yu and Duan Yuan, its preys who boldly entered its territory despite all the warning signs that are very obvious. Yet Su Yu and Duan Yuan acted as blind… oh, right, one of them is blind while the other can be treated as good as blind since he doesn't heed other people's advice!

So now, Su Yu and Duan Yuan can only blame themselves as they are going to die inside the Purple Old Manor. It doesn't matter whether Su Yu and Duan Yuan hope that they could still return outside. The evil ghost will definitely make them be a part of the Purple Old Manor, never to even see the light from outside again!

As it was thinking, the evil qi coming from it can't help but rush towards the two people (well, one has a soul of a demon) who are standing by the doorway, thinking that they are clever for not stepping inside the room yet since they felt that just by standing outside will make them safe. Naïve!

The evil ghost's eyes flashed as it slowly came out of its hiding. At the same time, Su Yu sensed that evil qi again. He turned in the direction where it came from, yet at the same time, the evil ghost finally rushed towards them!

So fast! Su Yu thought with his eyes narrowing while his pupils turned red. "Look out!" he cried as he pushed Duan Yuan in the other direction, trying to make the other avoid the evil ghost that finally came out.

But, Su Yu overestimated his reaction time and underestimated the ghost. This is the ghost's territory! Even a powerful dragon cannot repress a local snake*. He was transfixed! Su Yu was caught off-guard by suddenly being suppressed that he has forgotten to summon more of his power. By the time that he returned to his senses, he could only stare wide-eyed at the evil ghost's gloomy figure grabbing Duan Yuan and taking the other away.

*an outsider with great power/influence may not be a match for a villain in his territory/home turf

Su Yu was stunned, and only then he felt a little power inside his body surge after his subconscious mind called forth it. "… Duan Yuan!" he cried after he finally found his voice. He helplessly watched the door across the hallway open before it closed with a loud bang!

As soon as the door closed, Su Yu could finally feel that his body was released. But, before Su Yu could move, he heard the evil ghost's sinister laugh which echoed in the walls of the manor.

"FCK!" Su Yu loudly cursed. He could care less about his livestream right now. Who would still mind their image in front of their audience when life and death are at stake?

Su Yu's eyes turned blood red as he stared hard at the closed door across him. Even if it was just a meter away from him, it was as if there is a deep chasm between him and this door which is a mile wide. In short, he can't reach Duan Yuan. Even if he tries to open the door and call Duan Yuan, he knows that even if he breaks his arm and his voice turns hoarse, as long as the evil ghost does not permit it, Su Yu would not see Duan Yuan again.
