The world which has been at peace lately suddenly, and slowly, is falling into chaos as various kinds of supernatural events happened all around which made the people feel fear. Due to this, the Feixue Group, a group of exorcists, was created to solve the supernatural events. Duan Yuan is one of them. Even if his eyes are blind, but they are not when it comes to the supernatural things. 

Duan Yuan was on his way back to his university when he overheard someone talking about a popular haunted place to which many wanted to go, but no one dared. Out of sense of responsibility as an exorcist, he accompanied a horror livestream anchor, thinking that the other might die because the place reeks of evil. 
But, it turned out that not only he was not needed to save the other, but the other saved him instead?! And so began his recruit for the other to be an exorcist. Little did he know that the other was actually a big bad demon.

He is a demon… how can he be an exorcist?! Is the world about to end now?!

"I had a master check the students' corpses, which are still in the morgue, and he found that mark that the coroner drew… that symbol of the cult." Zhang Jue spoke when he met with Nie Fan after the other arrived in the office today. "That mark... that symbol..." he muttered, hesitating whether to say it or not. But, in the end, he still said it. He gritted his teeth. "... it was branded on the students'… soul." He said in a low voice as he lowered his gaze to avoid seeing Nie Fan's expression upon hearing what he said.

As expected, Nie Fan's brows knitted as he turned to look at him. "'branded'?!" he exclaimed and frowned. His face darkened. He, who has been a demon for a long time, has seen lots of things in his previous world. And soul branding is one of them and the nastiest of the nastiest.
