Vanessa is a grade nine student at Manhattan high school and while attending there, she messed up a body lotion she was trying to make in her science class, resulting in her having the ability to shapeshift into any living thing. While learning how to use her power, a new enemy arises in Manhattan, New York and threatens to destroy the city and beyond. Will Vanessa have the courage and strength to stop the beast?  Or will Manhattan be another demolished city?

Miss Marvelous: High School Freshman

Moments later, the monstrous albino snake Cashol bursted out the front doors of the school, looking all around for me. 


"I'm going to get that girl" it hissed. 


The snake slithered towards the street and its eyes began to glow a bright red. 


"ARISE MY CHILDREN!! ARISE AND FIND THE ONE WHO CAN SHAPESHIFT!!!" 


Suddenly, smaller albino snakes (about five to six feet long) began to emerge out from under the sewer lids and flooded the streets of Manhattan. 


 Meanwhile at the dinner table, I sat across from my foster dad, poking at the round green peas with my fork.


I looked up from my dinner and met his eyes with mine. 


"No, it's not that…...I was just thinking about school". 


"Oh, I heard what happened at school today".


 "Yeah. The school called all the parents to notify them about the incident".


 I moved my gaze back to my plate and continued to eat my dinner. 


"Anyway, I'm going to work in my office, call me if you need anything" said my foster dad, clearing his plate from the table. 


After he left the kitchen, I noticed that a lot of faint screams of men, women and children, coming from outside.


 Leaving my half-finished dinner, I got up from the table and peeked out the window, where I saw small albino snakes invading Manhattan.


I ran to my room, threw on my hero costume and as I dashed back towards the door, he called me again. 


I stopped dead in my tracks, right in front of the door. 


I gazed back to my plate of cold sausage, mashed potatoes, and peas I left. 


"At least finish your meal and clear your plate before heading out". 


But I don't have time; People could be dying. 


Ignoring my foster dad's request, I went out the door, shapeshifting into a harpy eagle and flying into the chaotic streets. 


 My foster dad heard the front door slam shut and he went out of his office, heading out to the front porch. 


"Vanessa?" he called as he stepped outside. 


 Before he could finish his sentence, a six-foot-long albino snake lunged at his throat, with its mouth wide open.  


I landed on my feet in my human form and threw my arms towards the attacking creature, turning them into purple octopus tentacles. I grabbed a hold of the snake just in time and tossed it away. Joe looked at me with wide eyes. For a second, I thought he would recognize me, but all he asked me was: 


I turned the 2 tentacles back into my arms and cracked a smile at him. 


I turned my back to him and ran back down onto the street, to save innocent people from dying. I've got to get to snake Cashol or else the entire human population in Manhattan will die within a matter of hours.  


I jumped up high into the air, shapeshifted into a secretary bird and flew up high to get a visual of snake Cashol. Spotting the 5-story anaconda was easy; I saw it rearing up at an office building. I landed on the rooftop of that building to get his attention and it worked. The boa turned its bulky head towards me, with its red beady eyes staring intensely at me. 


"The hero finally makes an appearance" it sneered.
