Chapter 20:~It's not karma, it's family~

Tired of what was happening to me, only to cause me pain and regrets for whatever they are punishing me for, I let myself submit on the floor and remained motionless because of the hand that was on my head.

I remained silent as I heard footsteps approaching next to the scream of two men, but strangely, my heart jumped with excitement at hearing one of them.

— A... a...—. I mumbled trying to remember what I wanted to shout or who I wanted to call but a hand covered my mouth and slowly I felt like the weight on my head was starting to lighten.

Cautiously I got up from the floor and looked at my companion, those blue hair and that jet look made me trust him a little although I felt a slight discomfort even without knowing why. If he had clearly done nothing to me but help me hide, or so I intuited when I saw how his gaze was directed in all directions. When we finally stopped hearing the voices, he helped me to my feet and took me by the arm.
