Chapter Thirty-Seven

After going over the plan, I am asked back to my room. I say asked, but it’s more like told. Alier wants to talk about Elayna with his family, my family wants to discuss what they want to do about me, and all the rulers over the territories are taking the opportunity to discuss issues and collaborate. Alek, and eventually Silas, have been asked to leave as well. This is fine with me because I’m ready to leave.

My room here is basically its own ecosystem, as will the others in Valrose. It has a small stream going through the room with moss, logs, and a giant hammock that hangs in the middle of the room, big enough for two. Too bad I don’t have time to see how Silas likes it.

I quickly pack my bag, my clothes are hidden in a carved-out log. I set my bag down and whistle, calling Kia. She’s up top since it’s easier for her than using our tunnel systems. Kia gives a loud growl from up top as I giggle. “Kaysh,” I call up to her.
