Chapter 13

B: Jessie sighed and nodded. "Fine. I will give you a chance, but you screw it up and I swear to you your manhood will be GONE." She chuckled evilly. "Also, since you want to be with me you have to ask my brother and uncle Blane." She smiled evilly. She knew they would give him hell and scare the shit out of him. Hopefully he would be respectful with her.

I: The next day was really hectic for him. Not only did he have a surprise mission to do, he also had a surprise visitor arrive to his home the next morning. The 'person' who visited, left him in a pretty foul mood. He began to think, what exactly did she mean by meeting her uncle and brother. He knew them, why would it matter any differently if he wanted to date her? What would they do to him?

Suddenly, he began to worry.

He went to Jess room and waited for her to be done her chores for the day. Once she arrived, he stood, and began to fidget in a slightly unsure manner. "So, uh, about meeting your family and asking them for permission. Should I, I mean sh-should we, what should I do? How...? Uh..." He suddenly became worried about meeting her brother and uncle! He signed up to date her, and kiss her a few times, but he really needed permission? Maybe, it was a girl thing. "I am ready to d-do it."

B: Jess had cleaned the whole library and was beyond tired. As she entered her room Isaac was there. He started to panic about her family. She just smiled. "Look it's not like they will kill you." She chuckled and then looked scared. "Then again, keep a weapon with you." she joked. "No but really you just have to explain to them why you want to be with me and prove you do. Nothing too hard." She shrugged. She had meet with Seth earlier on his way out of the infirmary and he was happy she was home. He had a hunting partner and she was pretty cool. She also ran into Blane. He was happy she was home but gave her a lecture about it all. She had told both of them that Isaac wished to talk to them. Both had been confused but said they would meet him in the library. "Oh, by the way you need to go to the library about right now." she smiled.

Blane and Seth stood in the library waiting for Isaac to show up. "Hey, kiddo, what you doing here?" Blane asked Seth while hugging him. "Meeting with Isaac. You?" Seth said as he hugged Blane back. "Same." Blane said with a confused look. They looked at each other with confused looks.

I: The little devil set him up! Zack stuttered for a moment. "R-right now? W-wait a minute, Jess. What is going to happen? What am I supposed to say? Prove it?! I barely can get you to stay in the same room with me and now I have to prove what I already believe?" He panted for a moment and then stood straight and firmly nodded. "Piece of cake." He said sarcastically and exited her room. He turned around for a second. "When I am done doing this Jess, you owe me. Big time." He then turned around and left for the library.

Zack always, always brought his weapons. Just in case anyone was brave enough to get past the protection in the Institute, he was always prepared for a fight. So, having his weapons with him was not out of the norm. When he approached the library, he began to get a chill down his spine. He entered and saw the two men waiting for them, he approached them with a smile and firmly shook their hands. "Blane, Seth. I guess you both were set up here by Jess for this? Yeah, she threw it on me a moment ago." Zack slowly shook his head and sighed, then lifted his head to them.

"Jess wants me to ask your permission to date her. It is definitely new for me, but I want to respect her wish. I want to retrain Jess personally to become a hunter again. If I have to put her needs ahead of my own, then I will. She said I have to 'prove' to you that I want to be with her, and well, I don't know any other way to do that than to say this. The moment I saw Jess, I wanted to bring her in. After spending time with her, I realize there is a fire in her soul, and she is a compassionate person who will not allow those that she loves to be hurt in her place. I need someone like that hunting beside me, and I have come to really enjoy being with her. I can't think of anyone else that I would want to be with right now. I just met her, honestly, but already I feel captured by her eyes, and her smile. If you will give me the chance, I will do my best to make her happy. Even if that means I'm not right for her, I will gladly step aside so that she can become the woman she is meant to be. That's...that's all." He took a labored breath and scratched his hair nervously.

B: She smiled to him as he left her room. She then stripped from her clothing and went to take a shower and then retire to sleep for the night. She knew Blane and Seth would awake her when they were done, but for the time being she fell fast asleep to pass the time.

As he said that they were set up by Jess they looked at each other even more confused. They had no idea why they were here to talk with Isaac. As he spoke, they both stiffened. HE WANTS TO BE WITH MY SISITER!!!!! HELL NO! I DON'T EVEN KNOW THIS GUY THAT WELL! Seth growled in is mind. Blane chuckled. "You will have your hands full with that girl, but I believe you truly want to be with her. I'm approve. I don't know about Seth." Blane said while looking at Seth.

Seth growled. " I don't know. I will allow it for now. I will be talking to Jess about this and I will be watching." He said and walked out of the library and Blane smiles. "You have a lot of guts kid. But be warned. She is a fiery soul and her brother is very protective. Please don't screw it up and break her heart. It would be a loss to the institute to lose a man like you." Blane said and patted his shoulder and walked away.

I: Zack could feel the horrible tension in the room as if it was able to be chopped with a knife. He watched both men walk away, but what bothered him most was the way Seth looked. He said he would give him a chance, but honestly Zack doubted that. He could understand why they felt this way, they truly cared about her and did not want her to be hurt. Zack watched them leave and swallowed hard at the thought of dying if he hurt her.

"That went well." He said to himself and left the library. He wanted to do a mission, kill a demon, maybe something else. Honestly, he wanted to be with Jess. Would it be too soon to see her again? What excuse could he use to visit her? What could he say that was believable since he really just wanted to see her face again?

He began to think, not sure what he would do and considered possibly making some reason up. He walked to her room and stood outside the door and looked around stupidly before walking inside. He saw her asleep and quietly closed the door. He sat in a chair beside her bed and waited for her to wake up.

Should he get in bed with her again? He had done that before, it wouldn't be surprising. No. Maybe that was moving too fast. What if she liked fast? What if-DAMNIT! WHO CARES! Why can't I stop thinking like this!? I should concentrate on hunting not...not on a girl! What the hell is wrong with me!
