Chapter 16 - Malia (1)

Days after my father's phone call, Gael comes to The Manor. I'm thankful that he is because I finally have something to tell my father whatever I may gather tonight–I hate that he's here for the same reason because I don't want to do this.

The guy is pretty much like Giovanni in a way that he also feels dangerous. Gael looks and feels mysterious. I see women cling to him whenever he's at The Manor but he barely pays them attention. He has security with him all the time, unlike Giovanni who mostly moves on his own. Sometimes, Salvatore is there, but I notice that Gio prefers driving himself to places on his own with no security.

Maybe that's why my father doesn't think Giovanni is a big deal to his family. Maybe it's why my father wants me to focus on Gael because he believes the grandson is more valuable. And maybe he is if Gael is the heir to the De Luca empire like my father thinks.
