Chapter 28 - Malia (2)

🖤🖤🖤 Malia 🖤🖤🖤

I've never been thankful that I don't have work on Mondays and Tuesdays because The Manor is closed. Which means, I don't have to see Giovanni. It'll be good for me to take a break from him. I've been too caught up with him, I forget how I should not be associated with the De Lucas more than I should. If my father gets wind of what's happening with me and Giovanni, I'm done.

My mother has to stay in the hospital today for a couple of days. She already left when I woke up, even though I told her I'd go with her. She let me sleep in. Maybe I did need the extra hours of rest because I wasn't able to sleep right away when I came home after work. My thoughts kept drifting back to Giovanni and that woman—who according to Erica was the previous receptionist, and whose position I replaced when I came to work at the club. How fucked up is that? She left, and I replaced her, quite literally.
