She was very good with me in the start but after sometime her behaviour with me changed. She started showing her true self.

She made me do all the chores of the home at this young age.

Soon after my step brother and step sister was born I loved them both very dearly but my bond with my father continued to be weak.

I saw him loving my step brother and sister more while ignoring me. But there was a kind man who used to give me some food whenever I was hungry. He used to take care of me. I want to go away from here and far away.]

"Why is she such a cry baby?"

"Two different men? Now how am I supposed to get who is the man in the dream?" Chao Xing annoyingly threw the book on the bed and just then.

"Chao Xing?..."Her stepmother again came into the room, calling out for her but this time she had a dress in her hand.

Seeing her sitting on the bed lost in her thoughts, she scrunched her eyebrows and came near her.

"What are you doing sitting here? We don't have all day. Hurry up and get ready." It was an order for Chao Xing and she couldn't do anything but accept all her stepmother's orders for now.

A fine pink frock was kept by her stepmother on the bed, telling her to wear it and come out soon, she herself went out. Letting out a huge sigh, she looked at the dress and then ran her gaze all around her room.

She thought for sometime before she finally wore that frock which reached her knees and skin coloured stockings under that. She opened up her long red hair and after combing them well she put them in a loose bun.

After wearing a black long cap over her, she finally stepped out of her room not before looking at it one last time. She knew she wouldn't be able to come back here.

The two little ones who gave her bread last night, twin brother and sister, were standing outside waiting for her. They were about seven and both loved their elder step sister very much even though the behaviour of their mother with her was very bad.

Both ran towards her seeing her and engulfed her in a tight hug. They too started sobbing very badly when the little girl said, "Chao Chao, Are you going to leave us?"

"No my dear I will come back very soon." She was cut off by her stepmother, "Don't give the children false hope you are never coming back here."

She gave her a sly smile which clearly showed that she won and Chao Xing lost. She was finally getting rid of her forever. Chao Xing gritted her teeth looking at her, she got up from the floor and went near her.

"Do you think you can always stay happy after depriving someone of her rights? Let me give you advice, try asking forgiveness from God otherwise you never know when Karma is going to get you."

Her stepmother's eyes widened listening to this, "Get out."

She couldn't believe that the girl who always stayed quiet was now talking back to her and even got the nerves to threaten her.

Chao Xing didn't wait a second more before going out of the house, not before giving a last smile and wave to her younger brother and sister.

As soon as she got out she looked at her father who came near her upon seeing her. He opened his arms with a smile and was just about to hug her when she stepped back.

She sarcastically smiled at her father and said, "Pity, you weren't even able to save your own daughter from this world. I hope you will not do the same to my little sister."

With this she went and sat inside the carriage. Her father also went and sat in front with the coachman.

Chao Xing sat there in the carriage waiting for the next phase of her life to start. She knew her new life wasn't going to be easy for her so she was trying to make herself ready for what was coming in front of her.

She closed her eyes and as if her mother was coaxing her in her consciousness, she heard her say, "Don't worry my child, face the hardships with bravery and you shall see the doors of light opening for you."

A smile crept upon her lips as she whispered to herself, "I will."

After sometime the carriage finally stopped in front of a little shop-like thing, her father told her to get out of the carriage. She slowly got out of the carriage holding the little bag close to herself and looked at her surroundings.

Her eyes went on the shop which was in front of her, girls were standing there with tattered clothes. Their hair all messed up like they haven't combed their hair for a long time.

All of them were in a very bad state. They were weak like they hadn't eaten properly for a long time. It was a place where you could only see misery and agony.

There was still a little hope in their eyes. Chao Xing was shocked looking at the scene in front of her and felt pity for those girls.

Some girls were standing at the back and somewhere standing in the front in a straight line. While some men were standing in front of them. She soon realised it was a slave market.

Her eyes went wider realising her situation and then she saw her father taking some money from a man. Her father didn't even look at her once before leaving from there in the same carriage he came there with her but this time he left her in that place alone full of misery.

Soon two men came near her and started to snatch that little bag from her hand…
