S2: Chapter 11

It is one boring day and you are continuously pondering over that one thought in your mind. "Who is looking for the survivors? And why?"

Coincidentally, while roaming around, you find Tsukiyomi resting under a tree.

You observe him for a while and see him looking around and smiling to himself. He then looks down and its seems to you like he was writing something. He turns his head and notices you. You walk up to him.

"Hey Tsuki." you say after sitting beside him.

"Hey, Y/N. What's up?" he asks and keeps his notebook down.

"Nothing much, really. What were you writing?' you ask. "Oh, it's nothing."

"Alright, if you don't want to tell me that, then tell me what you like writing about?"

He says something under his breath, so you couldn't hear him.

"I'm sorry, what was that?" you ask.

"Umm, I actually like writing about my surroundings. Like describing the greenery or even the clear sky... About how the birds are flying with no worry. How the leaves and grass dance with the wind. I love watching them do their little dance. Favorite pass time" he answers, looking up.

"That's cute." you say softly.

He flinched a little and that is when you realize he is still uncomfortable around you.

You giggle softly.

He looks at you and asks, "What happened?"

"Nothing." you say, looking at him with a smile.

He smiles back but you notice his smile fade within seconds.

He then says, "I have some info. On the person that is looking for the survivors." You look at him and for a few painfully long seconds, the only thing you hear is your heart beating against your chest.

"What did you find?" you ask.

"I went to Ivail's father, Ramon, since he had called me. When I reached there, I overheard him talk to some other person. I sneaked to the back and made a hole in one of the windows for a better view. The other person was dressed in black with a mask revealing nothing but his eyes. I couldn't figure out who that was. Judging from the structure, it was a man. He started talking and said he had found a deep hole in the forest where one of the survivors or more could likely be. Ivail's father gave orders to capture them... You told me about C/N hiding in the forest. Maybe they were talking about him."

You remain silent and thousands of scenarios run through your head.

"How... Ivail's father is the one looking for them? Why?" you ask with a slight tremble in your voice.

"I'm sorry, I actually don't know.." he answers.

You both remain quiet. Wind blows and shakes the leaves on the tree above you.

You fold your legs close to yourself and sink your head down.

"I'll try finding more about this.." Tsukiyomi says, when you get up to leave. "Thanks, Tsuki. See ya." you say and walk away.

"Mavis? I need to meet my uncle." You stop halfway on the path to your house and start walking in the opposite direction.

"Oh, sure, let's go meet him." Mavis answers and follows you.

"I don't even know why. But when I thought who I could talk to, Wren's face popped in my head.. I can't believe I just met him and I already trust that guy." you think while walking.

You enter his house and walk towards the open door on your right side. The first thing you notice is that in the front, there is a table with many books left open. The windows are letting all of the cool air come inside. The pages are just fluttering, waiting for someone to read them.

Not being able to see anyone, you walk in and explore the room. The books were about the history of the city.

"He really likes history, huh? It looks like he is trying to find something though." you think while checking the books.

A gush of wind draws your attention towards the other side of the room. You walk towards the open window which was the source of the wind and you end up finding a table. It had a paper on it which was about to fly away and some writing tools kept beside it.

You hold the paper in your hands and suddenly you are looking at the most divine scenery you have ever seen.

The mountains were dark at the top and at the bottom, faded into a pinkish river. The trees were shedding their pink flowers and green leaves. It was autumn. The boat in the river was aimlessly drifting further and further away from land. There was a lady with her hands spread out, riding the boat.

"Nevil?" you hear a voice behind you.

Turning your head, you find Wren standing with a book in his hands.

"Oh, um. I'm sorry for going through your personal items without your permission." you apologize.

"Don't apologize, did you like the painting?" he asks, gathering the scattered books on the table.

"Yes.." was all that came out of your mouth.

"I apologize for the messy room. I was trying to find something." he says.

"Oh, no, it's fine... What were you trying to find?" you ask.

"I was actually checking how Belen was one of the greatest alphas and how he ruled the ancient North City. It's interesting for someone who likes history. Do you like history?"

"I think so. Who's Belen?"

"He was the second Male Alpha of the North City. His period had many developments and discoveries which is why I am pretty engrossed in his history. Well, forget that, is there anything I can assist you with?" He sits down and calls his servants.

He muttered some words to them which you couldn't hear. Not that you cared.

"Um, Mavis. I need a little privacy." you whisper. "Okay, I'll be right outside if you need me." she whispers back with a smile and walks out.

"Uncle.. I know who is looking for the survivors." you say after everyone left, leaving only two people in the room.

He suddenly pauses and looks right in your eyes.
