"What are you doing here, Gomez?" Diana's voice carried a firmness that matched the unwavering stare she fixed upon him. She paused her activity, her hands hovering over the belongings she was organizing.

Lightning King Gomez chuckled lightly, a self-assured smile playing on his lips. "I came to see you, of course! Is that how you welcome your partner? How cold." His tone held a touch of amusement as if he found the situation rather entertaining.

Diana shook her head, her expression resolute. "Partner? We were never partners in anything. We may have had a tacit agreement with each other in the past because it served our interests at the time, that's all. But that chapter of our lives is in the past now.
