The Magic Beast Tide (2)

The stillness of the air shattered as a long line of beasts erupted from the dense underbrush of the Grand Magic Forest, their feral screams echoing across the plains. Pageis and Louk stood frozen for a moment, their eyes wide as they witnessed the chaotic surge of the zeroth-grade magic beasts—a tide of grotesque shapes and sizes that could paralyse any mortal with sheer terror.

Among the horde, Pageis could make out the snarling forms of Bloodfang Wolves, their eyes glowing with a predatory hunger. They dashed forward, agile and coordinated, their vicious jaws snapping in anticipation. Next to them, the hulking form of a Stonehide Boar charged, its thick, armoured skin glistening under the dim light, seemingly impervious to harm. There were also the Nightmarish Hounds, their forms wreathed in shadow and snarling with an otherworldly hunger, their howls chilling the bones of those who heard them.
