"Who was she?" Daiyu asks when we were out of the store.
I don't know how much she understood, but I am sure she knows a thing or a two.
"Just an insignificant person." I reply her.
I walked to the parking ground since I am not in the mood of shopping anymore.
"Then why was she talking bad about you." She asked innocently.
"You know there are some people in this world you have nothing better to do in their lives. They just go around and talk bad about people. We don't have to take their words to heart, ok. They mean nothing." I explain her.
Many times Qian Fan's relative even told me that I should say such things to Daiyu, that she is too young to understand the world.
But I don't want to decide for her. She might not understand what I am telling her right now, but she won't be completely unaware.
And through my observation children can understand way more than we give them credit for.
"But won't you feel sad if someone says anything bad about you."
"You know that there are some people you won't like in this world, just like you don't like coriander, right." I ask her.
"Yeah." She frowned at the mention of coriander.
"So, we can't expect everyone to like us, but that doesn't mean we are in the wrong. It's just like that. Not everyone is meant to be friends. We should not take those auntie's words to heart."
Her mouth formed an oh and a look of realization hit her face, like she finally understood what I said.
"Then why didn't you ignored her earlier? You said me before that we should not waste out time on unimportant things."
"That's because she said something really wrong, and I needed to tell her that she can't go on and say anything she wants. I mean there are laws to protect us from people like her. Won't they go to waste if we don't use them? Don't worry you will understand it when you'll grow up. You don't have to pressure your brain so much."
She was scratching her head, trying to comprehend the meaning of my words, and my mood brightened up just by that sight.
Just like how I said to her, Mrs. Lin and her words are insignificant, and I should not be affected by her.
We stopped by a restaurant before going home.
Daiyu was fun to live around with. I did not realize when a few days passed with Daiyu by my side.
Anyways, good days always come to end.
I started doing my work as usual and for more than two weeks, I was not disturbed.

I try to open my eyes as I hear my phone ringing. Well I slept around 4 as I was watching dramas and it is Sunday today.
Why does the universe hate when I am relaxed on Sundays.
I see Qin Feng's name flash on my phone through one eye, and my mind gets cleared.
What does he want from me now? He better not ruin my Sunday with another invitation or something.
"Hello." Unlike previous times I don't sound angry, because I am going to reject whatever he is going to say now.
It can't be anything good if it's coming from him.
"I am sorry, but can you do me a favor." He said.
His voice seemed a little wrong. I don't know what it is, but I know something happened.
And it must be something big for me to ignore how he said sorry first.
I was going to reject him, but now I am agreeing to his request just because he sounded wrong.
As for why I did not question him. It's because if I did, or said something else, instead of telling me his reason he would just tell me to forget it.
Don't ask me how I know he will do this. Even I don't know.
"What is it?" I ask.
"Could you please go home and take care of Bai'er."
"Okay." He hung up as soon as I finished my words. Just like that, no explanation, nothing.
I sigh. I can't really do anything. Can I?
I change and head towards the Qin villa after having a light breakfast.
Butler Zheng opened the door for me and he led me to the living room where I found BaiBai crying.
What's happening? Would someone tell me what's going on. I did not signed up for this.
I don't know if I would be helpful in whatever is going on here.
I sighed, for god know how many times today.
I went toward her and hugged her.
"What happened? Why are you crying?"
She flinched when I suddenly hugged her, but relaxed soon when she realized it was me.
"Grandpa is in the hospital." She said while crying.
"Oh!" that's the only thing which came out of my mouth at this moment. Everything fell into place with this conclusion.
And if that's the case then I don't thing I can assume his condition because Qin Feng sounded unlike himself. Maybe that was sorrow.
I can't do anything in that anyway.
"You know if your grandfather saw you in this state it will only make him worry more about you." I can only help in calming her down.
"Now stop crying." Qin Feng asked me to take care of his sister. This is the least I can do.
"What if something happened to him? He kept on saying this for the past few days. I should have taken his words more seriously."
She was still crying nonstop. I realized BaiBai was trembling in my arms.
"What will I do now?" she asked.
"BaiBai, something's are not in our hand so I can't assure you that everything will be fine.
But I know that grandpa won't like if you blame yourself." I say.
"Did you went to meet him?" I ask her. I am not aware of the details of when he was hospitalized or how long has it been.
"I went together with them, when his condition worsened yesterday, but brother sent me back in the morning saying that I should take rest." Maybe he called me at that time.
"How can I have the energy to do everything?" her cries were turned into little sobs by now.
"I know that you don't want to do anything, but your grandfather won't like seeing you in this state. You want to go and see him right, so let's get changed and eat something."
"At this moment you need to be strong and support grandpa. He will only feel more bad if he saw you in such a state. You won't want that to happen, right?" I say to her in hopes that she will listen to me.
"And your brother needs you too."
She just nodded at my words, and even though she might not have agreed fully, she did understood that she needs to pull herself together.
I supported her to her room and told her to take a hot shower.
She came out of the bathroom after fifteen minutes. Her eyes were puffy from all the crying.
I am not sure if she was crying from yesterday, or even what happened.
She is definitely not in the state to tell me the full story.
I think she cried again in the bathroom, I can't say anything to her on that. Her crying is justifiable.
"Did you sleep last night? I ask her.
She shook her head slowly.
She sat blankly on the bed, and I helped her in blow drying her hair.
"Now listen to me and take a nap till I prepare something for you to eat."
"We will go and see grandfather after that, ok." I don't understand why am I coaxing her like a little kid, but she needs coaxing and reassurance.
She nodded and said "But I am not feeling sleepy at all."
"Then try lying down for a while." I suggest her.
I stood by her bedside for a while. She said that she was not sleepy but she might be exhausted because she fell asleep in two minutes.
I covered her with the blanket and went downstairs to prepare something for her.
She'll can it when she wakes up.
When I ask in the kitchen, the chef insisted that I should just tell him what I want, and he will do the cooking part.
I told him to make a light meal after thinking about it.
Anyways I am just a guest in this house so I am not supposed to go and do whatever I want. Besides, it's not like I am a great cook or something.
BaiBai must be very tired because she slept for more than 4 hours.
When I brought her something to eat, she refused.
"How will you be in energy to see grandpa and cheer him up if you don't eat now?" Even though she did not feel like eating, her body still needs it to keep on functioning.
After persuading her for a while, she finally relented.
After she finished eating, we set off for the hospital together.
