20 – Olivia Unpacks

As Olivia stepped into the plush leather back seat of the car, she couldn't help but feel a mix of nerves and excitement tingling through her body. She smoothed down the front of her skirt, trying to calm her racing heart as she prepared to start her first day as Cody's personal assistant.

The driver turned to look at her, his piercing blue eyes twinkling with amusement. "So, where are we headed today?"

"We're going to Cody's home," Olivia replied, trying to keep her voice steady and professional.

The driver let out a low whistle. "Ah, Mr. McCarthy. He's a bit of a handful, isn't he?"

Olivia raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the driver's comment. "What do you mean?"

"Oh, don't get me wrong, he's a good boss. But he's got a lot on his plate. Always on the go, always on the phone. I'm surprised he's even taking the time to unpack and settle into his new place."

Olivia nodded, understanding what the driver meant. Cody was the owner of McCarthy and Moss, a successful business, and she knew he was a driven and ambitious man. Still, she couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement at the thought of working for him.

"I'm sure it'll all be worth it in the end," Olivia said optimistically. "I'm just excited to be given the opportunity to work for him."

The driver nodded approvingly. "Well, I'm sure you'll do a great job. You seem like a smart and capable young woman."

Olivia felt her cheeks flush with pride at the compliment. "Thank you. I'm determined to make the most of this opportunity."

As the car glided smoothly through the streets, Olivia couldn't help but let her thoughts wander to Cody. She had met him briefly at the interview, and had been immediately struck by his good looks and charm. His piercing green eyes seemed to see right through her, and his confident, commanding presence had left her feeling both intimidated and exhilarated. She had a feeling that working for him was going to be both challenging and rewarding, and she was excited to see what the future held.

Before she knew it, the car had arrived at Cody's sprawling mansion. As she stepped out onto the driveway, Olivia couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the grandeur of the place. The creamy white stone facade rose up before her, adorned with elegant columns and ornate details. She couldn't wait to see what the inside of the house looked like, and she eagerly made her way up the steps and towards her new adventure.

Olivia stood in the middle of Cody's bedroom, surrounded by an array of boxes and bags that seemed to stretch on endlessly. She couldn't even begin to know where to start. The room looked like a retail store had exploded in the middle of it, and the once-impeccable space was now a total mess. And this was no small feat, considering the room was double the size of Olivia's old apartment.

Olivia couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed by the task at hand. She had only just started working for Cody as his assistant that morning, and already she was being asked to help him unpack and organize his new home. But Olivia was determined not to let the challenge get the best of her. She took a deep breath and began to assess the situation.

As she looked around the room, Olivia couldn't help but be struck by the sheer opulence of Cody's possessions. There were designer clothes and shoes scattered haphazardly throughout the room, as well as a plethora of high-end electronics and gadgets. It was clear that Cody was a man of means, and it was a far cry from the modest lifestyle Olivia had grown accustomed to.

But as she continued to work, Olivia couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for Cody. He may have had his quirks and flaws, but he was also kind and generous. And there was no denying the way he looked at her - with a mix of attraction and intrigue - that made Olivia's heart flutter.

As she unpacked a box of books, Olivia couldn't help but smile to herself as she remembered the intimate moment she and Cody had shared over breakfast that morning. It had been unexpected, but also electric, and Olivia couldn't shake the feeling that there was something special between them.

Despite the chaos of the day, Olivia couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and possibility. Who knew what the future held for her and Cody? She was determined to make the most of every opportunity that came her way, and she knew that Cody would be by her side every step of the way.

Olivia couldn't believe how many stores they had visited in a single day. It felt like they had been to so many that they all started to blur together in her mind. Some of the stores had names that were so difficult to pronounce that Olivia couldn't even attempt to say them out loud, and others made her feel completely out of place. She noticed that she would often get strange looks from the saleswomen until they saw Cody. Then, their eyes would light up like they had just won the lottery. Olivia suspected that this had something to do with the commission they earned off the shopping spree.

As they walked through the aisles, Olivia noticed that some of the items didn't even have price tags on them. She couldn't even begin to guess how much they might cost. Despite this, Cody seemed completely at ease as he picked out item after item, adding them to the growing pile in their shopping cart.

As they shopped, Olivia couldn't help but wonder what Cody was thinking. Did he even realize how much they were spending? Did he care? She knew that he was successful and had plenty of money, but even so, she couldn't shake the feeling that they were being frivolous with their spending.

Despite her reservations, Olivia didn't say anything to Cody. She didn't want to ruin the day or make him feel like she wasn't enjoying herself. Instead, she tried to focus on the positive aspects of the day and the fact that she was spending time with Cody.

As they continued to shop, Cody seemed to sense that something was on Olivia's mind. He stopped in his tracks and turned to face her.

"Is everything okay?" he asked, a concerned look on his face.

Olivia hesitated for a moment before finally speaking up. "I just can't help but wonder if we're being a bit extravagant with all of this shopping," she said. "I know you have the money, but it just feels like a lot."

Cody chuckled and wrapped an arm around Olivia's waist. "Don't worry about it," he said. "I have more than enough money to cover all of this and more. And besides, it's not every day that I get to spoil someone as amazing as you. You deserve it."

Olivia couldn't help but smile at Cody's words. She knew that he meant well and that he was just trying to make her happy. Still, she couldn't shake the feeling that they were overindulging.

Despite her reservations, Olivia decided to let it go and simply enjoy the day with Cody. After all, she knew that she couldn't change his spending habits and that it was ultimately up to him how he chose to use his money. She just hoped that he would be mindful of their finances in the future.
