When I made peace with Nnamdi, the choking feeling in my chest faded. I was miserable and quickly loose my temper, he wasn't talking to me and I was weighed down by that, I had to plead with him to come to the field. my heart swelled with excitement on seeing him, but he was snappish and snobbish with me. My hugs were not only to make peace with him but it was to make me recover from not seeing him in a long while.

We couldn't meet the following week because of his work, but he texted first, he has started calling my line recently, he told me that he was tired of typing and it is more easier if we talked. I didn't want to tell him that I didn't like talking on the phone,I would be lost for words, especially when it was him. But It felt so good listening to his voice, he loves hissing and complaining about his boss, Mother, his co worker or even an encounter on the street, I listened intently to him.

"Does your boss agree to home service?" I asked on a certain night.

" Of course, he would even sell us if payments are involved" he hissed and I chuckled. "Why are you asking?"

" nothing, just asking for a friend?" I told him "can I have his line"

He said "ok" and sent it to me.

The next day, I dialed his Boss's number, I told him i saw one of his worker's paintings and I liked it, I told him I wanted my own paintings at my own home and that I will pay however it costs. He agreed quickly, and when he ask of the worker I wanted, I told him, and he said "oh! best choice", I sent him some money through my transfer-app, when he saw it, he excitedly thanked me, he spoke so polite for someone that was hard headed.

Nnamdi came later to my house that morning, with his drawing tools in his bags, "I thought you said you are asking for a friend?" he teased.

I told him to wait in the sitting. I took my bath and changed into my clothes, " let's go"

"Where are we going to?" He was curious

" Am shopping for myself, I need someone that knows the city to go with me"

"That's was why you paid for a two day home service?, just because you want to shop?" He reprimanded

"You were working all week, I needed you to take a break"

"Let me do my work, only then we can be even" he was adamant,

"You will. tomorrow I will be at your house and I will let you use me the way you like" I assured him

His eyes brightened at that.

In the boutique, I picked clothes I knew, were my kind and size, I also bought shoes and bags for Mother and Ezinne, Nnamdi had helped me pick those ones, he was so good at picking stuffs like this and he told me that he was his mother's "handbag" when they visit the markets to buy stuffs like this. I picked out a few shirts, jeans and canvass, I told him to try it on, he didn't hesitate to try them, some of them looked so perfect on him, that I told them to package it, alongside every other stuff.

I drove us to a restaurant, we ate and I paid for everything even if he was insisting that he paid, we went to the fields later and gamed till evening. I dropped him off earlier than before. He made to go, leaving his package, I stretched back and took them from the back seat, squeezing it into his palms. " Take it. It's just my way of saying sorry"

He was hesitant at first, "Thanks man" he shook me, but I pulled him close and embrace him instead. " I appreciate, man" I patted his back.
