The World Keeper: Origins of the Orb

As I left the warehouse, I could feel the orb pulsing in my hand, guiding me wherever it wanted to go.


 I walked for hours, my senses heightened and alert but I didn't recognize it since I was too focused on the orb to pay too much attention.


The orb led me to another old, abandoned building. 


Never in my life would I have entered an abandoned building. 


But here I am entering another one for the second time today. As I entered I could feel a sense of unease and dread emanating from it, but the orb was insistent, and I knew that I had to go inside.


I pushed open the door and stepped inside. 


The building was dark and dusty, and it was clear that it hadn't been used in years. But as I made my way deeper into the building, the orb began to glow brighter and brighter. 


I could sense that I was getting closer to my destination.


I reached a small, hidden room in the back of the building, and the orb began to pulsate with energy.  


I stepped forward to what looked like the shape of the orb on the wall  and touched the orb to the wall, when a blinding light filled the room.
