1.4 This messenger missed you

After working until late at night, Shengli went back home. He had already told Jing he wouldn't eat with them. He did more today, so he can pick up Atlas tomorrow.

Shengli hasn't told him he wants to surprise him. He entered his room and undressed. Thinking about Atlas, he smiled. This whole thing is very weird to him. When Atlas left, they would speak on the phone every two weeks, but then it changed.

He would call him more frequently until it became once a day. He understood what it's like to have a little brother. That's how he saw him for the longest time.

Shengli was bothered that Atlas was unwilling to meet with him in the beginning. For two years, he seemed squeamish at the idea of seeing him face to face.

Even having video calls only happened one year after he left. Despite his coldness, he never wanted to stop trying to get along with him, though. But then on his 18 birthday, he accepted his dinner invitation.

He had to celebrate it a week later, since he was always busy. When Shengli arrived in front of his house, he was stupefied. From the surveillance, he didn't realize how well he lived. His mansion was worth millions.

The door was open, so he came in and called him, but no one was there. After looking and calling for him, he checked his bedroom. When he entered, Atlas was just coming out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist.

His wet hair was pushed back, and his green eyes were sparkling like stars. It was such a lovely sight. Shengli felt the need to lick his abs.

He had to use a lot of self-control not to jump him. Atlas didn't seem uncomfortable at all, he apologized for being late and Shengli left after he said he'll wait downstairs.

After that moment, his feelings changed to romantic. He won't say a thing now, and seduce him slowly. He'll make him fall for him. He has no intention of ever letting him go, he's mine.

Atlas was at the airport, impatiently waiting at baggage claim for his assistants to pick up everything. As soon as they did, he walked at a brisk pace to the exit.

When he saw the door from afar, he picked up the pace but then stopped when the doors opened. There was a tall man with a three-piece suit and specs walking toward him, with two bodyguards behind him.

Despite his specs, Atlas could feel Shengli's gold eyes meeting his. They both walked faster until their walk turn into a light sprint until they ran at full speed.

Atlas ran into his arms and wrapped his arms around his neck. Shengli held on to his waist tightly. Finally, you're in my arms.

Atlas was so happy to see him, he forgot the discomfort he'll feel once he leaves his embrace. He knew he intended to surprise him; he has Aurora, so no one can surprise him.

Although in a way, Shengli surprised him. He doubted that he would ever make a friend and care about someone, but he did and does. Before him, he did not know what affection was or the need to speak to someone every day.

His sole purpose has always been to be a messenger, and the people he was around were all sheep and egotistical gods.

How could he develop feeling around such conceited deities? It's because of their massive egos, that he was punished to live and die repeatedly as the villain.

He was created for his duty and punished because of it. But now he has control of Aurora and Stellargate so once he's powerful enough, he'll break free and kill the one who punished him.

Shengli put him down gently and looked at his adorable, blushing face. Atlas was looking away and said before leaving:

"Let's go before someone recognizes you."

Shengli followed him with a smile. If he hadn't seen Atlas's red ears, he would think he feels nothing. They got in the car and once all the luggage was in the trunk, the driver started the car.

Atlas looked out the window. He doesn't understand why now he feels so shy around Shengli. Before he left, he didn't, but now it's different, everything is different.

He didn't think before they became friends, you could feel this intensely for someone. Around six months ago, Shengli started to make his heart beat faster when he would smile or look at him like he was the only person in his heart.

The thing is that he wants to be, and he loves that he only has him in his heart. He feels special, and he doesn't want to share him with anyone. For once, he has something he cares about, and he won't let it go.

He's always been possessive even before he was punished, but he had nothing he wanted to hold on to, but now he does. He's mine.

Shengli was staring at Atlas's side profile. He admired his jade-like face with a smile. He asked:

"What do you have planned?"

He knows Atlas, he never sits still. Shengli wishes he would just rest until dinner tonight. Atlas looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"You probably think I should rest."

Shengli nodded with a smile. Atlas smiled back and relented.

"Then that's what I'll do."

Shengli smiled brightly, and Atlas's heart beat faster again. Why is he so cute? He looked away, not saying anything.

When they arrived, Shengli walked him to his room and showed him around.

"I left everything as it was. It was just cleaned. If you need anything, let me know, and I'll get it."

Atlas took a step closer to him and asked:

"Why did you leave everything as it was? You didn't know if I'll ever come back."

Shengli took a step closer and confessed:

"I didn't, but I was hoping."

If he refused, he would've tricked him into it.

He couldn't stop himself from caressing Atlas's cheek lightly when he saw the way he was looking at him through his lashes. Is he trying to kill me? He was sure he was when Atlas took a step closer and put a hand in his.

They stood there looking at each other until his last luggage was brought. Atlas pulled back Shengli's hand and said with a smile:

"Thank you for letting me stay."

Shengli nodded and ordered before leaving.

"Get some rest."

Jing was a the dinner table with Shengli waiting for his son and Wei Luo. Wei Luo is his new girlfriend. When A-Xue told her about it, she was happy, but when she found out that she was the daughter of Wei Shujun, she was beyond pleased.

Even if she had no involvement in her husband's company, she knows how things work.

Her father-in-law never liked her. He thought she seduced him to have a better life, so he did everything in his power to keep her away from it. She doesn't blame him, she did.

Thanks to her late husband, she lived in peace and didn't have to raise her twin. She had help with that, so her work ended when she gave birth.

But she knows that the shareholders and board of directors at Liu Tech are in charge. Wei Shujun used to work at the company, but now that he's retired, he's just on the board of directors.

He owns 20 percent of the shares, while her son has 35 percent. When her husband died he gave his 35 percent shares to Atlas. But now those shares are A-Xue since her useless son is probably dead in a ditch somewhere.

So now with those 35 percent and Wei Shujun's 20, now that he cultivated a good relationship with him, he'll be completely in charge of the company.

Plus she can see that he truly has feelings for her. A-Xue walked in holding Wei Luo's hand. He pulled her chair so she could sit and took a seat in front of his mother.

He smiled.

"Hello, sorry we're late."

Jing smiled.

"It's alright sweety. How are you, Luo?"

Luo smiled shyly.

"I'm okay, Mrs. Liu."

She actively avoided looking at Shengli, he was too intimidating for her. She's seen him multiple times since her father's office was just next to his. Numerous servers came in, putting a plate in front of everyone.

When they left, they all looked at the plate left at the end of the table. They all glanced at Shengli.

"We're waiting for one more person."

Jing asked excitedly:

"Really? Who?"

She asked Shengli to invite Wei Shujun to dinner, to solidify his and A-Xue's relationship. She would rather not take any chances, and she knows how much Wei Shujun respects Shengli.

It's not surprising, he helped the company gain a stronger foothold in the tech industry over the past three years. He kept coming up with amazing designs.

Wei Shujun respects people who know the technological industry they work in. He doesn't just want a president who only thinks about numbers.

To him, If the president isn't passionate about technology, how is he going to help the company evolve and keep up with the new trend?

The fact that A-Xue is just a figurehead is already bad enough, so they need to cultivate a stronger relationship. But every time she would hint at it, Shengli wouldn't respond.

She knows that he was clear that he would stay out of her family affair, and that he would just run the company, but she thought he could still help her son.

It's not like she asked for the moon on a platter. But turns out he just wanted to surprise her. I'm finally getting through to him. She's been so worried lately that she had lost her charm.

"Me."
