5.17 This messenger's first friend

Renjun looked at his father who had lost face in front of Atlas, for the second time and said:

"Father, just kill him."

Meng, who was full of rage aimed his blade at Atlas' heart. Before he could stab him, he received an arrow in his heart. Meng screamed in pain and fell to the ground.

Renjun knelt in front of him, his eyes full of fear. He pulled the arrow out and put pressure on it,  to stop the bleeding, even if he knew he would die.

He cried incessantly, as Meng was gasping for air. Renjun looked up to see who dared to shoot his father. He stood up in shock when he saw Dayou coming out of the threes, holding a crossbow.

Renjun walked to him and yelled:

"You killed my father!"

Dayou said expressionlessly:

"He was about to kill Atlas."

"He doesn't deserve to live. And you killed father for him when he humiliated you! How could you? I've been the one supporting you all along. Only I loved you, while Atlas looked down on you."
