Orochimaru at first thought that Aoto was able to use Wood Release, but then he sensed the wooden vines that had trapped him and couldn't find a trace of chakra at all. This made him confused as he couldn't understand what was going on. He also could not wrap his mind around how the examiner was able to show himself.

At first, he thought it was space-time jutsu, but now that Aoto had used Wood Release without chakra, he wasn't sure anymore. However, this only made him more excited about this new person he had come across, and he couldn't wait to uncover more about him.

The wood vines weren't enough to stop Orochimaru as he slipped away like a snake. A vine just couldn't stop another vine.

"You like to strangle opponents? I like to do it too," Orochimaru said, his visage and voice having already taken the form of the original Orochimaru as he removed his mask.

"Sen'ei Tajashu (Multiple Striking Shadow Snake)"

A bunch of snakes suddenly emerged from his hand, growing larger as they launched at Aoto with ferocity and speed. Aoto instantly summoned the Tao mandala with his left hand and sent a half-moon Tao mandala at Orochimaru from afar.

This move was something Orochimaru had never seen before, and he had to use his kunai from his other hand to stop the attack. What he didn't expect was that the Tao mandala would cut through the kunai and his hand altogether.

It was so fast that he didn't have time to dodge. The attack on Aoto with his snakes stopped as Orochimaru took a few steps back. Blood flowed like a river on the ground as his hand had been cut from the wrist. Aoto didn't capitalize on that and didn't lunge at Orochimaru.

"You got me, examiner. I didn't expect sensei to put such an able person as the head," Orochimaru said as he tried to control the blood loss from his lost hand. Aoto didn't seem to be moved at all by his words nor showed any emotion of pride in his countenance.

"You should be held in prison for your crimes against humanity," Aoto said.

"What crimes? I am only doing my research for the betterment of humanity," Orochimaru said.

"Yeah? By killing young children and experimenting to see how you could attain immortal life?" Aoto asked. This made Orochimaru a bit perplexed. His ambition for immortal life wasn't something he had ever spoken about.

The only other person who knew about it was Kabuto, whom he trusted a lot, but that didn't mean he would never doubt him.

"Did he betray me?" Orochimaru thought.

"Who told you that?" Orochimaru asked.

"Does it matter, you damn snake," Aoto said, then lunged at Orochimaru with a sword in hand that he had just conjured. There was no obstacle, and he was able to drive the sword right through his heart.

The body of Orochimaru soon melted into the ground with the sword still plunged in, and before Aoto could even withdraw his hand, Orochimaru materialized himself from behind with his mouth wide open.

His huge tongue turned into a snake. It hissed and flapped its own tongue just like a snake. It swirled down with its mouth wide open, ready to bite at Aoto's neck, but just before its fangs could lodge into the supple skin of Aoto, it got struck.

Its fangs got struck into what seemed like a mirror. The snake saw its own reflection in several broken mirrors that had appeared out of nowhere. Not only could the snake see its own reflection, but Orochimaru was also able to see himself. The range of the broken mirrors was small at the beginning, but soon he found that the mirrors had spread all over and surrounded him.

Then he heard a voice from behind. The voice of Aoto himself.

"Welcome to the Mirror Dimension. What we do here will not affect the real world. It is used mostly for monitoring and prison purposes. The last one was Chomei," Aoto said.

"This is a nice piece of genjutsu. But this is not enough," Orochimaru said as he didn't hesitate to stab himself using his own Snake Sword that he had brought. Since Orochimaru saw the whole thing as genjutsu, he tried releasing himself from this illusory world by disrupting his own chakra flow.

That didn't work. So he went through the old method. Hurting himself.

After he stabbed himself, the body fell down, looking lifeless, but then the mouth of the dead body became wide open, and Orochimaru emerged from inside the mouth, body covered in what looked like the saliva of a snake.

Aoto found it disgusting as he allowed this man to come out. But Orochimaru wasn't happy after he came out, as he could see that the mirrors were still there, and nothing had changed.

"What kind of jutsu is this?" he asked.

"I explained it just now. This is a Mirror Dimension," Aoto said.

Orochimaru was now genuinely pissed. Without thinking, he lunged at Aoto, who put up a Tao mandala, but that was not enough to stop the assault, and he was dragged back quite a few feet.

"How do I get out of here?" Orochimaru bellowed.

"By defeating me," Aoto said with a smile.

"That makes it easy. Let me show you what an actual Sannin is." Orochimaru gave a manic laugh as he went after Aoto with vigor and anger mixed together. He was determined to take him down and also capture him because now he was more interested in this person than the vessel he had identified for himself.

This person was more interesting.
