Chapter 36

I dared not move Park's body, but judging from the wound, I guessed that the soldier hit him in the side abdomen.

Amidst panic and confusion, I picked up the gun from the ground and aimed it at the soldier. While trembling, I pulled the trigger, but the bullet missed and hit a nearby tree.

However, the soldier fell to the ground, and I realized that someone else had hit her. I looked around and saw a muscular but small female walking towards us.

The woman exuded power. Her short, dark hair hid very little of her face, which was marked with battle scars.

She did not dress like the soldiers, so it was safe to assume that she was not with them. But I couldn't be sure that she wasn't an enemy.

"Jeez, you're really something. You do know that Ad Maiora can't afford to lose its blue ninja, don't you?" she said while looking at Park as she swung her gun to her back.
