Chapter 4 Rejected

　　Sabrina's Point Of View:

　　"Good evening," I greeted softly, embarrassed by the situation.

　　"What is the meaning of this?" Damian's voice thundered and angrily looked at me.?

　　"Is that really you? My secretary?!"?

　　I gulped.

　　Sir Damian was more disgusted. He looked at me in distaste. "Why did you join the auction?" he asked coldly.

　　"I.. have my reason. Please... give me a chance..."?

　　I looked at my boss. He watched me with his deadpan gaze then turned and left.

　　I felt as though my breathing was easy. Earlier, I was unable to speak because I had to battle for my grandma and, despite my opposition, I needed him to accept my proposal of marriage.?

　　Grandma had no other means to heal, and because Damian had already left the house, I had no one else to turn to but his family. I took a deep breath and prepared to speak when Lady Villaruel asked whether I was going to be Damian's wife.

　　"I'm sorry for his behavior. We also didn't think that you would be chosen," She said and held my hand.?

　　"I'm glad you're the woman, we won't have to worry anymore for him because we have already known you."

　　"Actually, if I don't really need it, I also don't want your son to be my husband," I answered formally.

　　I heard another person laugh so I looked at him. He was Damian's grandfather.

　　"He has a trust issue with every girl passed. I hope you understand my grandson," he said.

　　"The contract marriage is Damian who will take you. You need to talk about it with him," said Damian's grandfather.

　　After the conversation, I went to the hospital to see my grandmother. I was worried that maybe her children would come and do something to her later.

　　When I walked into Grandma's room and heard these voices, I was shocked.

　　"Why didn't she just die?!"

　　"What good is she for us? Her eyes are only on Sabrina! Doesn't she know we're here?"

　　"I'm angry for many reasons! She did a lot of things for us, but when that woman came, we had nothing to do with her!"

　　I walked inside as soon as I could and saw that one of the siblings was holding the cord that connected my grandmother's life, which prevented everyone else from getting closer. His actions caused my eyes to widen, and I ran after him and pushed him.

　　"What are you doing?!" I shouted and blocked my body on Grandma's bed. "Are you really crazy that you can kill your own mother?!"

　　"None of your business!"

　　"We want her gone! What now?"

　　"We don't need her anymore! After all, you're the happy one. We'd better just get rid of her in our lives"

　　I can’t believe looking at them all. What right do they have to say all that to the very person who took care of them? I can't believe that grandma's children are like this, they did nothing but give pain and suffering to their mother.

　　I laughed so they looked at me.?

　　"What kind of children are you? Don't you see how much grandma loves you that she can sacrifice everything for all of you! You're lucky enough to have her!"

　　"You don't know what grandma is doing just to keep you alive!"

　　I took a deep breath and looked at my grandmother who was sound asleep. I don't know when she will wake up but I know she can hear us.

　　"Go away ..." I said calmly. "Shall I call the guards or will you leave?"

　　I didn't look at them and kept my eyes on grandma. Grandma is ignorant and innocent. I just heard the door close loudly so I closed my eyes. I smiled at my grandmother and approached her.

　　"Grandma, I'm going to use some money for you. I'm sorry if you'll be surprised just in case you find out what I did," I said softly.

　　Eventually, I leaned over her after I got dressed. I held her hand and soon I fell asleep. I was so tired from the Selection earlier.

　　"WHERE ARE YOU? I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO COME HERE!"

　　My eyes widened when I read his message. I quickly got up and put on the denim jacket, I no longer cared what I was wearing. I cursed under my breath while I'm on the elevator waiting to reach the right floor. I quickly got out and immediately looked for a taxi.

　　"Villaruel condominium," I said to the driver and immediately nodded and agreed.

　　I took a deep breath and was wondering about what could happen to me. Whether or not he will agree or maybe he doesn't want to. I frowned and erased the negatives from my mind.

　　"Here we are!"

　　I jumped in panic and got off and went inside the house, upon opening the elevator I saw a woman laughing.

　　"See you, tomorrow babe! I have fun tonight,"

　　I saw Damian wearing a white robe and smiling. I hid and watched the two of them kiss, I frowned and walked over there making them look at me. I raised an eyebrow and smiled at them.

　　"Sir, you texted me to come here," I said in a formal voice.

　　I looked at them both and smiled before I went inside. I took a deep breath, it still hasn't changed.?

　　I know he is rich and handsome but I am disgusted with his behavior.?

　　"I didn't sign the contract," he said in a cold voice.

　　My eyes widened and I stood up so I could see him step back.

　　"What?" I asked so he closed his eyes and I bit my lip.?

　　"May I know the reason?"

　　"I don't want to marry you since you're my secretary," he said in a serious voice.

　　"If it wasn't just for my grandmother I wouldn't be doing this thing!" I said in an angry voice.?

　　"What should I do huh?"

　　I looked at him and thought about what I did to him in the office. I bit my lip and took off the denim jacket. He looked at me and I saw he had swallowed.

　　"I want you to marry me ..." I said seductively and put my hands on his chest. I stared at his eyes intently and speak, "Please, I want you to marry me and I will do the rest."
