　　"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT IS BEING POSTPONED!" Emily screams through the phone so loudly that I have to hold it away from my ear.  


　　"Exactly what I said," I tell her coldly. "Our wedding, our mating ceremony, all of it, is being postponed until I figure out what is going on around here."  


　　"So, this bitch shows up after three years of pretending to be DEAD and you are just going to take her word for everything that happened?" Emily's voice is laced with anger. 


　　"Tell me, Emily," I say with no emotion in my voice. "Did you know that she was pregnant?"  


　　"I... I..." Emily begins to stutter and that tells me all that I need to know. 


　　"Did you tell her about my father's plan for her blood?" I fire off another question.  


　　"I... I may have mentioned it," Emily's tone has immediately changed.
