chapter 2: The team

As soon as Zero and Emily walked through the doors. Both of them looked at Josh and Cassy. "we need to go out and scavenge for gear and food" Emily broke the silence. Cassy looked up and charged Emily "why the hell don't you just leave Mrs.princess" she yelled as zero stepped in her path. " we need her to survive and she's right, we need to go get supplies for the baby and for everyone else" josh chimed in. Zero grabbed his little sister away from Cassy " please don't yell in front of jazzy" zero stated. Emily walked over to a chair and sat down "look Cassy I'm not my family. I've tried to get away from them. if anything I'm their outcast. I've been that way for years" she said with sadness in her eyes. "You think that's enough for a apology? you're dead wrong. my family suffered while yours made millions off my dad's and mom's work!" Cassy explained. that's when zero got up and handed jazzy to josh. "So what nobody's perfect Cassy so please stop, we're not going to get far if we just keep fighting so if you're not going to help get food or supplies for jazzy stay here with Emily and Josh while I go out and gather the things we need to survive!" zero yelled and walked out of the house.

As zero walked away pissed off at how the others were acting. zero made it to the main road and saw the chaos that was everywhere. a father ran up to zero with a little girl "take her please! I'm not going to make it I've been bitten by her mother zero I'm begging you". Zero took the girls hand and took off down the path back to the abandoned house but before he entered the house zero stopped outside of it."go inside there are people who are my friends stay with them." As he watches her enter the building Emily walked out. "zero wait up I'm coming with you."

they both took off to the road picking up backpacks that people dropped grabbing any food and weapons.

By the time they were done getting stuff it was already getting dark. "that should last us a few weeks call josh and let him know we'll be back tomorrow morning" Emily said to zero. "yeah wait what?"zero replied "we're a couple of miles away from base let's find a place to rest" Emily stated "fine" Zero said as they walked towards a house without light's on and the door was cracked open.

as zero opened the door no sounds where Heard as they continued inside closing the door behind them "well this looks like a good place" Emily said as zero turns on the lights "yeah if we fortify this place it could become our second base or even move everyone here for the main base" zero replied looking at Emily getting nervous seeing how this was his first night sleeping in a place with a girl around his age. after making sure the place was safe enough for them to stay "hey I'm going to get a bath, if you need anything just knock on the door" zero said as he walked upstairs leaving Emily to watch TV.

Zero undresses and steps in the bath "ahhh that's the spot" Zero exhales as the door opens to the dressing room "Zero I'm coming in" Emily says as she opens the door to the bathroom only wearing a towel as Zero turns beat red

"please stop" zero said as he grabbed his towel "we're not even dating, so I don't understand why you would come in when I'm bathing especially when you're supposed to be on the lookout" "three people came in and asked if my boyfriend was in the bath, so I lied and said yeah" Emily said blushing as zero got out of the bath "they said prove it and told me to join you in here, they have gun's zero I didn't know what to do" just as she said that two gunshots were heard outside

"Emily, Zero?" a girls voice broke the silence after the shot's "it's me Catherine and Emmett. we seen those guys and took them down to save you".

Zero looked at Emily "friends of yours?" zero asked

"yeah their my kendo teammate's" Emily said with relief in her eyes "one sec we'll be down in a few minutes" Emily yelled back as she stepped in the changing room with Zero both of them facing away from each other as they got dressed. As they went downstairs zero looked at Catherine and Emmett "thx for that" zero said as he looked embarrassed. "wait wasn't there 3 of them?" Emily asked the two as they looked at each other. "umm do you think one got away?" Emmett said that as a young girl stepped out into the open of the room "yeah no I wouldn't bet on that you guys just killed my family" she said shaking holding a shotgun aimed at zero. "you cute boy in the bedroom now!" she said motioning zero to the bedroom. Zero slowly moved into the bedroom as he heard her say "any of you follow us I'll kill him!" she said locking the door behind her "your clothes loose them" she said "at least take me out to dinner first" zero joked but removing his shirt as she set down the gun "it's only a airsoft gun" she whispered "my name is rose and I'm going to loose my virginity to someone before I die." "Or you could just join us you don't have to die and we don't have to do this" zero said looking rose in the eye's as she was taking off her pants. "no I don't have much time left, when we were outside camping I fell asleep and when I woke up my undercarriage was hurting badly the boys looked at each other and told me a zombie bit me down there as I was asleep" she looked hesitant to finish her story as she dropped the rest of her clothes "I'm legit scared, I don't want to die before I can have my first time" she said looking at zero who still had his pants on "it sounds like they lied to you because I don't see any bite mark and I think they may have done something unthinkable to you rose" zero exhaled "you're not going to die and we don't have to do this so put your clothes on and come with us" as they were about to leave the door bursted open Josh, Cassy and the little girl carrying zero's sister ran in. "There's a hord coming and we need to board this place up quickly" as josh said that zero ran over and closed the door "shut off the lights so they won't see us or the lights" he said
