Chapter 50

Special Tigers

Ajay was insecure about being named the leader of the tiger group, he had never been a leader and his life for as long as he was known was to run, hide and live fearing the outside, being afraid of everything beyond the forest. On his body were many marks left by humans in the years that passed. His father was a leader and his mother for years had this family responsibility. But the number of tigers increased, and the family became larger. He couldn't imagine how many years they'd wasted wandering the dark woods alone without a land to call their own, without a home. Now they were an endangered species, the last weretigers they had known, and the responsibility of repopulating did not satisfy him.
