Dimwit

Maga

Once Royce left my room, I grabbed my phone from my nightstand and dialed mum’s number. I have a lot of questions that need answers. And I don't think I might be able to sleep tonight with all those questions swarming on my head.

”Hello, darling.” I heard the sweet voice of my mum, which brought an unknown feeling to my heart. Yearning.

”Mum?” I asked her, sounding unsure.

”Sarina, are you alright? Did you get into any sort of trouble?” she asked me all the questions at once, making me overwhelmed. I have always had a great bond with my mum, we were practically like best friends with no secrets between us. But now I feel like there was a bigger secret that she never shared with me, and that is what mutilated my heart so much. And unknowingly, tears started falling down my cheeks.

There was a long pregnant silence before I spoke. ”Mum, I found my soulmate.” I told her in a monotone. And I could hear the blissful voice coming from the other side.
