Maga

Fifteen minutes after takeoff, the seat belt sign went green, indicating that we can now remove the seat belt.

“Scar?” Celine whispered from beside me, and I quizzically looked at her. Why is she whispering when she is only a few inches away from me?

“What is it?” I asked her back in a whisper.

“Um, do you think it is the right time?” Celine asked me vaguely.

“Right time for what, Cee? I don't do mind-reading, so you might have to elaborate more in your sentence.” I replied and placed my head back on the headrest and closed my eyes.

“To go and talk to Heath. To thank him for those chocolates?” she asked me skittishly. Oh, so this is where the train is heading? Because Heath is already eighteen and, that Celine will be turning eighteen tomorrow, maybe their bond is starting to work.

“Why are you asking permission for that?” I asked her.
