AFTERMATH

One month later...

"Good to see you again, Andrew." Melissa looked up at him, a small smile plastered to her face. The man had disappeared right after he'd resurfaced, saying that he 'needed some time'. It was understandable.

But he'd come back for them. To let them know what happened.

"I wanted to visit my grave."

"How was it?"

"Absolutely surreal," he chuckled half-heartedly. A clearing of the throat caught his attention, as he looked towards the other inhabitant of the room. Anna gestured towards the television, signalling that they should perhaps tune in.

"...Riley Ballard, suspected in dozens of murders throughout the United States and Great Britain, has confessed to one of the suspected murders. The victim remains unnamed."

"Saw that one coming." Melissa mused.

"You did?" Anna looked quizzically at her mother.

"You saw his face. I'm surprised it took him this long to confess."
