Down through the deepest seas, straight to land with walls so tall it could reach the sky. The land was shrouded in darkness that was so thick it was hard to see the next person around. But some lanterns lined the streets with bright lights that shone through the darkness. Lights from homes also made the darkness bearable.
The people of this world were yet to see daylight with their own two eyes and it would be a nice dream if they did. But it was part of the curse that was placed by the Dahilaki that people outside of the world didn't know about. The once great people of House black, who had powers greater than that of the other houses were sent to weakness after the darkness infected them with a plague that weakened their powers to the lowest point. Some people were stuck between werewolves and humans. Some remained monsters, unable to change back.
And their Lord could not do anything about it. As he could not access his powers or the dahilaki's powers that he had taken when he defeated it. He was all by himself in his dark tower, he stood alone close to the window, his gaze fixed on the busy world outside in front of him. People were walking about, going about their daily business. They had gotten used to it and created a time system to suit them most.
The window is slightly open, letting in a cool breeze that ruffles his long dark hair. He is tall and well-built, with chiseled features and a strong jawline. His skin is smooth and unmarred, his eyes a deep brown that seem to reflect the moonlight filtering through the window. He stands there, lost in thought as if he is searching for something just beyond his reach. The darkness of the room only adds to the mystery and allure of this man, making him appear even more handsome and enigmatic.
There was never a day that goes by that he didn't blame himself for the downfall of its kingdom. No one could leave and if others were to come in, they would be cursed as well.
Though the people appreciate his help to still keep their kingdom going even with the pressure of the Dahilaki's powers.
Ryu! Ryu! Ryu!! The children of the streets would chant his name in glorification, the wives would daydream about him, the men would offer him help and assistance and the young maidens would give him blood to drink.
Yes. Blood. The Dahilaki powers stay alive with blood, not animal blood, as he had tried. He would only fall sick the more and that would destroy his kingdom. His soul was connected to his kingdom, if he falls, his kingdom falls. He must be alive and he must be strong.
"My lord!" the door barged open by one of the warriors. Ryu did not flinch and remained in the same state as he was. "I am sorry to intrude but there is something that needs your attention. Another demon has invaded the island. And it seems stronger than the other demons that were sent by the Dahilaki followers"
Ryu's ears perked up. It had been three months before he had fought the last demon and that one had almost cost him his life. He feared if he would be able to fight this one himself. He always fought the toughest demon himself then the less weak ones would be killed off by his men.
Even though he knew he was weak, and getting weaker by the day it did not stop him from going. He would give his best to destroy every single thing they sent to his land.
"I have heard you. Get me my sword and prepare Snow. I am taking him with me" Ryu said in a deep voice. Anger flared in his chest and his eyes stared daggers into the darkness.
He took one last breath and turned to leave his study. He took a band from his pocket and pulled his short hair into a half bun, some strands still falling over his face. He put on his hood and mask, even with his face covered one would know he was handsome. Because nothing could beat the look of a man with hazel eyes as fierce as his.
He stepped out of his estate, and Snow, his wolf, was by his side. His sword covered with his scabbard was held tightly in his hand.
Though he didn't have much of his power back, he still had his innate power to run fast through the woods. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. When he opened them his hazel eyes had turned red and his fangs had appeared. He was prepared to kill.
Then he took off. Down the forest, with his sharp ears, he could hear the shuffle of feet, the light noises of someone mumbling to themselves. Complaining about the woods, talking and talking.
This brought Ryu to his stop. His wolf was about to pounce but he stopped it and looked in the direction of the voice.
He was expecting an enormous demon with claws, sharp teeth, and bloodshot eyes. What he didn't expect to see was a young little lady with nothing but a night dress on.
